Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking a Senior Healthcare Support Worker to join the Rosebank Ward at Caithness General Hospital in Wick. This is a permanent part-time post, 23 hours per week, with a rotation across Days and Nights, and an opportunity to work within a busy acute surgical and medical admission ward.

You will be supported by a multidisciplinary team and undertake a development and training programme to gain the experience needed to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centred care.

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Senior Healthcare Support Worker to join our friendly team within the Rosebank Ward at Caithness General Hospital, Wick.

We are a busy acute surgical and medical admission ward, with a three bedded enhanced level of care unit. We aim to provide a high standard of care to our clients on a daily basis.

All acute medical, surgical and emergency department admissions are received through the acute referral pathway. This is an exciting opportunity, at a time of continuing quality improvement and redesign.

You will be supported in completing a development and training program to gain the experience needed to deliver a high standard of evidence based patient centred care. You will be working closely with the multi-disciplinary team.

This is a permanent part-time post working a 23 hours per week rotational contract covering both Days and Nights.
