Job summary

Simelabs - Digital, AI/ML, Automation, Robotics, Gen AI. is seeking a Senior FinOps/Cloud Cost Specialist to drive cloud cost optimization across our cloud environments in collaboration with Engineering, DevOps, Finance, and business teams.

You will monitor spend, develop dashboards, and implement cost-saving strategies. The role requires 5+ years in related fields and strong GCP cost management experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, FinOps, or related field.
• 2+ years hands-on cloud cost management and optimization experience.
• Strong experience in GCP pricing and cost management.
• Experience with cloud cost management tools, dashboards, and reporting.
• Strong analytical skills; Excel and SQL required; scripting preferred.
• Good understanding of cloud architecture and services.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze cloud spend, usage, budgets, and cost trends.
• Identify and implement cost optimization opportunities, including rightsizing and removing unused resources.
• Manage cost allocation, tagging, budgeting, forecasting, and showback/chargeback.
• Develop cost dashboards, reports, and optimization recommendations.
• Optimize commitment and discount strategies, including Reserved Instances and Savings Plans.
• Monitor cost anomalies and budget variances.
• Collaborate with Engineering and DevOps to embed cost efficiency into cloud architecture and operations.
• Define FinOps KPIs and improve governance and processes.
