Job summary

Movate Technologies in Hyderabad is seeking a FinOps Engineer to establish comprehensive cost visibility across AWS, Azure, GCP, on-prem, and GPU infrastructure. You will build and maintain FinOps dashboards using Snowflake, Power BI, LogicMonitor, and related tools, define tagging and chargeback models, and monitor budgets and anomalies.

You will lead cost optimization initiatives across engineering and operations, measure savings, and drive GPU/AI FinOps strategies.

Qualifications

• Must have strong FinOps and cloud cost management background.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cost allocation and tagging.
• Proven ability to build dashboards and cost governance.
• Experience across multi-cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-prem environments.

Responsibilities

• Establish cost visibility across AWS, Azure, GCP, On-Prem, and GPU infrastructure.
• Develop FinOps dashboards using Cloud Cost Management tools and BI platforms.
• Define tagging, cost allocation, chargeback, and showback frameworks.
• Monitor budgets, spending trends, and cost anomalies.
• Identify opportunities for rightsizing computing, Reserved Instances, and storage optimization.
• Drive optimization initiatives across engineering and operations teams.
• Measure realized and forecasted savings.
• Monitor GPU utilization and optimize AI/ML infrastructure cost-to-performance.
• Build data models integrating AWS CUR, Azure Cost Management, GCP Billing Export, and on-prem metrics.
• Develop automation workflows using Python and APIs, with scheduled cost analysis jobs.
• Integrate FinOps with ServiceNow, ITSM, and observability tools.
• Partner with CloudOps, Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE, AI/ML, and Finance teams.

Key Responsibilities

Cost Visibility & Governance

• Establish comprehensive cost visibility across AWS, Azure, GCP, On-Prem, and GPU infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain FinOps dashboards using Cloud Cost Management tools, Snowflake, LogicMonitor, Power BI, or similar platforms.
• Define tagging, cost allocation, chargeback, and showback frameworks.
• Monitor budgets, spending trends, and cost anomalies.

Cost Optimization

• Identify opportunities for:
  • Rightsizing computing resources
  • Reserved Instances / Savings Plans optimization
  • Storage optimization
  • Kubernetes cost optimization
  • Idle and underutilized resource reclamation
  • GPU right-sizing and utilization improvement
• Drive optimization initiatives across engineering and operations teams.
• Measure realized and forecasted savings.

AI/GPU FinOps

• Monitor GPU utilization metrics (DCGM, NVIDIA NVMI, GPU Telemetry).
• Identify idle, underutilized, and dormant GPU resources.
• Recommend GPU pooling, scheduling, and reclamation strategies.
• Optimize AI/ML infrastructure cost-to-performance ratios.

Data Analytics & Forecasting

• Build FinOps data models integrating:
  • AWS CUR
  • Azure Cost Management
  • GCP Billing Export
  • On-Prem utilization metrics
  • GPU telemetry data
• Perform spend forecasting and capacity planning using statistical and ML-based models.
• Develop predictive recommendations for scaling and budgeting.

Automation & Engineering

• Develop automation workflows using Python and APIs.
• Build scheduled jobs for cost analysis, rightsizing, and reporting.
• Automate remediation actions were appropriate.
• Integrate FinOps capabilities with ServiceNow, ITSM, and observability platforms.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Partner with CloudOps, Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE, AI/ML, and Finance teams.
• Conduct FinOps reviews and governance meetings.
• Present optimization opportunities and business cases to leadership.
• Drive FinOps adoption across engineering teams.
