Sapiens is looking for a Senior FinOps Analyst to join the Cloud Services Office (CSO) – FinOps & Demand Management function, reporting to the Director of FinOps. This data‑driven role will govern cloud financial performance, enable demand transparency, and drive cost optimisation across the organisation. The successful candidate will operate at the intersection of finance, technology, and business operations to ensure cloud investments are aligned, accountable, and deliver measurable value.
Location: Bangalore
Working Model: Flexible work arrangement combining remote and in‑office work.
What You’ll Do
FinOps Governance & Cloud Cost Management
- Lead cloud financial governance — owning cost visibility, optimisation, forecasting, anomaly detection, and accountability for cloud spend across all business units.
- Maintain and enforce FinOps policies, standards, and controls to ensure financial discipline in cloud consumption.
- Proactively identify cost inefficiencies, overspend, and waste — and drive actionable remediation with engineering and operations teams.
- Target performance: ≤±5% variance from approved budget and ≥10–15% annual cost optimisation year‑over‑year.
Demand Management & Capacity Forecasting
- Define and lead the demand intake process — ensuring alignment between business priorities, resource requests, and cloud execution capacity.
- Assess and prioritise demand items within SLA (≤5–10 business days from intake to prioritisation decision), with ≥95% of items formally assessed and tracked.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations leads to align capacity planning with strategic demand signals.
- Provide data‑driven forecasting to inform resource allocation decisions and avoid under‑ or over‑provisioning.
Reporting & Executive Insights
- Produce and maintain monthly FinOps reports — covering cloud spend, budget variance, forecast accuracy, and optimisation progress — for executive leadership and C‑suite stakeholders.
- Design and manage dashboards and reporting cadences that give real‑time visibility into financial and demand performance.
- Translate complex financial and operational data into clear, executive‑appropriate narratives and recommendations.
- Support the Head of CSO in quarterly transformation milestone reviews and board‑level reporting as required.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary point of contact between the CSO team and Finance (P&L), engineering leads, and operations stakeholders on all matters of cloud cost and demand.
- Drive cross‑functional alignment across all SCS internal teams, ensuring consumption decisions are financially sound and operationally viable.
- Facilitate regular demand reviews (weekly cadence) and FinOps governance meetings, ensuring actions are tracked and owners are accountable.
- Contribute to the broader transformation and continuous improvement agenda within the CSO team.
