Job summary

JobItUs in Vadodara, Gujarat, is seeking a Plant Operator to operate and monitor a manual batch process plant and supervise unit operations on site.

The role requires handling equipment such as mixer, reactor, dryer, filter, pulverizer, and HAD when applicable, while ensuring safety and compliance with MSDS, NFPA, and 6S.

Strong fundamentals in process knowledge and teamwork are essential to support efficient production and mass transfer activities.

Qualifications

• Experience with batch processing and process control in a chemical plant.
• Familiarity with unit operations such as drying, mixing, filtration, and pulverization.
• Knowledge of safety standards and equipment operation.

Key Responsibilities

Plant Operations

• Operate and monitor manual batch process plant activities.

• Handle unit operations including:

  • Drying

  • Mixing

• Perform unit processes such as:

  • Filtration

  • Pulverization

• Manage chemical reactions:

  • Exothermic reactions

  • Endothermic reactions

• Oversee evaporation and mass transfer operations.

Equipment Handling

• Operate and maintain equipment such as:

  • Mixture

  • Reactor

  • Dryer

  • Filter

  • Pulverizer

  • HAD (if applicable as per plant process)

Safety & Compliance

• Strong knowledge of:

  • Work Permit System

  • LOTO / LOTOTO procedures

  • MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet)

  • NFPA safety standards

• Ensure strict adherence to plant safety norms and SOPs.

• Follow 6S methodology for workplace organization.

Technical & System Knowledge

• Basic computer knowledge (MS Office).

• Thorough understanding of current organization’s process and operations.
