Job summary

Layam is seeking a proactive Sr. Executive - Product Development to support the New Product Development function for luggage products. You will work closely with the Product Development Manager and cross-functional teams to execute development from concept through mass production.

The role emphasizes adherence to Quality, Cost, and Delivery targets, with responsibilities spanning design coordination, timelines, tooling, and handover to production.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience in product design and development.
• Experience coordinating NPD projects with cross-functional teams.
• Working knowledge of NPD processes and OEM interactions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end NPD activities from concept to mass production.
• Coordinate with Marketing, Manufacturing, Tooling, Quality, and Supply Chain.

Role Overview

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Sr. Executive - Product Development to support the New Product

Development (NPD) function for luggage products. The candidate will work closely with the Product Development

Manager and cross-functional teams to execute product development activities from concept through to mass

production, ensuring adherence to Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end product development (NPD) activities from concept to mass production.
• Assist in product design development, ensuring functionality and manufacturability.
• Prepare and maintain project timelines, trackers, and documentation.
• Coordinate with Marketing, Manufacturing, Tooling, Quality, and Supply Chain teams for smooth execution.
• Track adherence to QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) parameters for assigned projects.
• Follow up on samples, prototypes, and tooling development with vendors/OEMs.
• Support resolution of day-to-day issues arising during development and provide inputs for corrective actions.
• Assist in preparing reports and updates for management review.
• Support smooth handover of developed products to production.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in NPD processes.

Requirements

• 3-6 years of experience in product design & development
• Prior experience supporting or coordinating NPD projects.
• Working knowledge of NPD processes.
• Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams.
• Exposure to OEM interactions preferred.
