Purpose of the Role

The Senior Executive of Process Manufacturing is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the Grain-Based Extra Neutral Alcohol (GENA) manufacturing process. The role oversees end-to-end process operations across Grain Unloading, Milling, Liquefaction, Fermentation, Distillation, Decanter, Evaporation , DDGS Dryer , Co2 and Spirit Storage/Warehouse sections, ensuring achievement of Safety , quality, Zero liquid Discharge , Process Effeciency, yield and Productivity and other process required objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Manufacturing Operations
  • Lead and supervise daily plant operations across all process areas, including grain handling, milling, liquefaction, fermentation, distillation, decanter, evaporation, DDGS Dryer operations, Co2 operations and alcohol storage.
  • Ensure uninterrupted production through effective monitoring and control of process parameters, equipment performance, and utility availability.
  • Drive operational excellence to achieve production targets, process efficiency, and yield improvement objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to approved SOPs, manufacturing standards, and operational controls.
Process Monitoring & Control
  • Monitor critical process parameters, including temperature, pH, specific gravity, flow rates, enzyme dosing, fermentation efficiency, alcohol recovery, and product quality.
  • Analyze process deviations and initiate corrective and preventive actions to maintain stable operations.
  • Coordinate with quality and laboratory teams for timely testing and quality assurance of intermediate and finished products.
  • Maintain process records, shift logs, and operational reports accurately.
People Leadership
  • Provide functional guidance and supervision to operators and contract workforce.
  • Ensure effective shift handovers and workforce deployment.
  • Drive capability building through coaching, on-the-job training, and skill development initiatives.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Safety, Health & Environment
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety standards, permit systems, PPE requirements, and statutory regulations.
  • Identify workplace hazards and drive risk mitigation actions.
  • Participate in safety audits, inspections, incident investigations, and corrective action implementation.
  • Ensure high standards of housekeeping and plant hygiene across all operating areas.
Maintenance Coordination
  • Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation teams for preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.
  • Support plant shutdowns, commissioning activities, and process troubleshooting.
  • Ensure timely reporting of equipment abnormalities, leakages, vibration, or process upsets.
Quality & Compliance
  • Ensure production of alcohol meeting quality specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Support compliance with excise, food safety, environmental, and company standards.
  • Ensure proper documentation, record retention, and audit readiness.
  • Drive implementation of GMP, quality systems, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Cost & Performance Management
  • Monitor and optimize raw material consumption, chemical usage, steam, power, water, and utilities.
  • Drive loss reduction and productivity improvement initiatives.
  • Support budgeting and cost‑control programs for manufacturing operations.
  • Track and improve manufacturing KPIs, including yield, productivity, downtime, energy efficiency, and OEE.

Qualifications & Experience
Education
  • B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering, Alcohol Technology, or a related discipline.
Experience
  • 2-5 years of experience in Distillery, Ethanol, ENA, Alcohol, Brewing, or Process Manufacturing operations.
  • Hands‑on experience in grain-based distillation processes, fermentation, distillation, utilities, and process optimization.
