Job summary

Diageo India site seeks an Assistant Manager Quality to build quality systems per GRMS guidelines and manage indirect reports ensuring sampling, analysis, GMP, and food safety protocols for in-process and finished products.

The role includes analysis and approval of site products, leading compliance with GRMS, EY, FSSAI and LMR, and driving a culture of quality across operations with training and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Post Graduation in Food Science / Chemistry / Microbiology / Alcohol Technology is desirable.
• MBA in Quality Management is optional.

Responsibilities

• Analysis and reporting of compliance sampling, analysis and results in Diageo format and SAP.
• Leading GRMS, EY, FSSAI and LMR compliance.
• Daily operational review and escalation of quality concerns to site head.
• Auditing quality standards and drafting corrective action plans.
• Defining quality training needs and delivering training for the team.
• Partnering with Global Quality, Central Quality and R&D for new systems, change management and pilot trials.

About the role

As an Assistant Manager Quality, role is responsible for building the quality systems in accordance with GRMS guidelines, managing the indirect reports of the site for adhering necessary protocols of sampling, analysis, GMP, Food Safety, in-process analysis and finished product analysis.

Decision Making Authority Decision Expected

The role will need to operate within our SOA and be responsible for analysis and approval of Incoming and Outgoing products of site.

Recommendations Expected

Defining the roadmap for progress of quality culture at site. Enhancing food safety standards across the site operations. Building the sitewide quality protocols.

Financial Accountability (Budget/Revenue)

Preparing annual quality budget for upkeeping, updating and maintaining the quality function assets for inspection, analysis and calibration.

Leadership Responsibilities Top 3-5 Accountabilities Area (time spent: total = 100%)

Analysis and Reporting of Compliance Sampling, Analysis & reporting of results in Diageo format and SAP ; Leading GRMS, EY, FSSAI and LMR Compliance. Daily Operational Review Bringing up the concerns of quality from floor and escalating to Site head as and when required for its timely closure. Audit Auditing the quality standards compliance levels and drafting action plans. Training Defining quality training need analysis and delivering training for team. Partnership and sustainability Working with Global Quality, Central Quality and R&D team for creating new systems, change management and Pilot trials and Sustainability.

Experience / skills required

Post Graduation in Food Science / Chemistry/Microbiology/Alcohol Technology is desirable. MBA in Quality Management is optional.
