Role :-
We are looking for a hands-on IT professional to own our entire IT estate end to end: network and firewalls, Windows and Linux servers, NAS and backups, SAP Business One on HANA, email, thin clients, the company website, and our web portals that integrate with SAP B1 through the Service Layer. You will be the go-to person for day-to-day uptime, security and vendor follow-up, and the first call when something stops working.
Responsibilities:-

- Manage the LAN, switches, Wi-Fi and internet links across head office and plants.
- Administer the Fortinet (FortiGate) firewall: policies, port forwarding, VPN for remote users, and firmware updates.
- Maintain DNS, DHCP and IP addressing; keep the network and server inventory current.
- Manage SSL/TLS certificates for all public services and renew them before expiry.
- Enforce access control, SSH key-based login, patching, antivirus/endpoint protection and backup encryption.
Servers and storage
- Administer Windows Server (RDP/terminal servers, file shares, application servers) and Ubuntu Linux servers (chat, video, helpdesk, visitor management).
- Manage the Synology NAS: volumes, shares, permissions, Hyper Backup and USB backup rotation.
- Run and test daily backups and restores for SAP HANA, NAS data and mail; maintain a disaster recovery plan.
- Monitor server health, disk and memory, and act before problems cause downtime.
SAP Business One
- Provide first-level technical support for SAP B1 on SAP HANA: user creation, licences, authorisations and client installations.
- Coordinate upgrades, patches and HANA database backups with the SAP partner.
- Support add-ons, print layouts, and basic queries an reports.
Website, portals and integration
- Own the company website www.sdfine.com and its hosting on AWS, including domain, DNS, SSL and uptime monitoring.
- Work with developers on web portals (customer, distributor, vendor) that read and write SAP B1 data through the Service Layer (REST API).
- Review integration designs for security and performance, and manage deployments on Linux/Nginx servers.
Email and collaboration
- Administer Gmail / Google Workspace accounts, groups, aliases and mail security (SPF, DKIM, DMARC).
- Support Thunderbird mail clients and the legacy Lotus Domino and hMailServer setups, including any migration.
- Maintain internal chat (Mattermost/Synology Chat) and video (LiveKit) services.
End-user support and assets
- Support users on desktops, laptops, thin clients, printers and mobile devices, at head office and remotely at plants.
- Run the IT helpdesk (osTicket) and meet agreed response times.
- Keep the hardware and software asset register, licences and AMCs up to date.
Vendors, budgets and documentation
- Coordinate with IT vendors (website developer, SAP partner, ISP, hardware suppliers) and follow up until issues are closed.
- Collect and compare quotations and give inputs for the annual IT budget.
- Document configurations, passwords (in a secure vault) and procedures, and report monthly to management on uptime, incidents and projects.
Preferred candidate profile
- B.E. / B.Tech / B.Sc. (IT or Computer Science), BCA / MCA or equivalent.
- 5+ years of hands-on IT infrastructure work, ideally in a manufacturing or multi-location company.
- Firewall administration (Fortinet preferred; Sophos or SonicWall acceptable), VPN, VLANs and routing basics.
- Windows Server and Active Directory, plus working knowledge of Ubuntu Linux from the command line.
- Synology or similar NAS, backup tools and restore testing.
- Exposure to SAP Business One support (users, licences, client installs); HANA familiarity a strong plus.
- Domain, DNS, SSL certificate and web hosting management (AWS or similar).
- Gmail / Google Workspace administration and email clients such as Thunderbird.
- Clear written and spoken English and Hindi; Marathi or Gujarati useful for plant visits.
- Willingness to travel to Tarapur and Poicha plants and to support urgent issues outside office hours.
