Job summary

PeopleStrong is seeking an experienced SAP BASIS Administrator to manage SAP ABAP & Java systems (ECC ERP, BW, EP, PI/PO) and SAP components such as BOBJ and DMS. The role includes HANA/MaxDB/Oracle/MySQL DB support, web server administration, and backup management using IBM Spectrum Tivoli.

Strong knowledge of Linux/AIX is required to ensure high availability for 4000+ users. Responsibilities include transport management with CHARMS, Solution Manager usage for maintenance planning, incident

Qualifications

• Experience in SAP NetWeaver BASIS Administration, preferably with SAP certification.
• Experience in SAP System Administration of NetWeaver ABAP & Java systems (ECC ERP, BW, EP, PI/PO).
• Experience in SAP HANA, SAP MaxDB, and databases like Oracle/MySQL.
• Proficient in Linux (SUSE Linux) and IBM AIX operating systems.
• Knowledge of SAP Transport Management using CHARMS and SAP Solution Manager.

Responsibilities

• Administer and tune SAP ABAP/Java systems for 4000+ users.
• Manage SAP HANA/ databases and ensure backup/recovery Planning.
• Administer Apache Tomcat and web servers; ensure OS hardening.
• Coordinate with IT teams for backups using IBM Spectrum Tivoli.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and maintain SAP NetWeaver
• Support incident management, change controls, and user administration.

Job description

Candidate willbe responsible formanaging SAP ABAP & Java systems (ECC ERP, Business Warehouse / BW, Enterprise Portal / EP, Process Orchestration /PI/PO), SAP Business Objects / BOBJ, SAP Content Server / SAP DMS and standalone SAP engines like Web Dispatcher, SAP Router,etc., for 4000+ SAP Users.

Willbe responsible forsupport,availabilityandperformancetuningfor SAP HANA DB, SAPMaxDBand other database likeOracle andMySQL.

Responsible to administer and control Apache and Tomcat web servers.

Candidate will be required to work with S USE Linu x,IBM AIX& Windows serveroperating systemsto manage SAPandsupporting businessapplications.

Will be responsible to schedule and take the backupof SAP database from DB12 or operating system asrequired.

Candidate will be responsible to work withIBMSpectrum (Tivoli) for backup management.

Candidate will be part of SAP BASIS administration team and is expected to know and develop knowledge in area of SAP NetWeaverB ASIS Administration, SAP Database Administration (HANA / Sybase/ Oracle).

Candidate must be experience in SAP Net Weaver BASIS Administration, preferably with SAP certification . Following are technical skills are expected from the candidate.

SAP System Administration of NetWeaver ABAP & Java systems (ECC ERP, Business Warehouse / BW, Enterprise Portal /EP,Process Orchestration /PI/PO), SAP Business Objects / BOBJ, SAP Content Server / SAP DMS and standalone SAP engines like Web Dispatcher, SAP Router, etc.

Should haveworkingSAP User Management starting from new user requisition, user creation, user measurement with USMM/SLAW, managing user master, audit user history using SUIM, user deactivation and compliance with ITGC controls for user management.

Expertisein configuring and operating SAP Transport Management system usingCHARMS.

Exposure in using SAP Solution Manager for SAP BASIS Administration like Maintenance Planner, IT Service Management, CHARMS, Central User Administration, EWA configuration, Managed system configuration,technicalsystem configuration and system monitoring scenarios.

Should be capableto install,update,upgradeandconfigureSAP HANA database and setup replication between sites.

Should be skilled in HANA Database Administration, must be able to analyze and troubleshoot HANA database related errors and issues.

Must haveworkingwith HA/DR setup involving multi-site replication of SAP HANA databases over LAN and WAN.

Must be skilled to quickly troubleshoot performanceissueand resolve incidents to bring the system back to normal.

Should be experienced in administration of SUSE Linux, IBM AIX operating systems to run SAP system.

Should have used and managed IBM Spectrum (Tivoli) backup tool for backup management of SAP and other databases and files.

Monitor status of BACKUPs, performneed basedrestore whenrequire.

Report & coordinate with team lead for incident management process. Take corrective actions for incidents related to OS & backup related issues.

Exposureinmanaging databases like MySQL, Oracle,SQL Anywhere. Etc.

Managing ofApache/Tomcat web servers.

Should have good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical terminology to people with limited or no technical understanding.

Excellent customer service skills, always striving to improve services.
