PERSOL in Mumbai seeks an Assistant Manager IT (Applications & SAP) to lead local SAP FICO support and align India IT operations with Global standards. You will coordinate SAP enhancements, manage local vendors, and supervise on-site infrastructure with cloud integration.

The role requires hands-on SAP FICO/S4 HANA expertise, Windows Server and networking know-how, and strong communication to support end-users across India.

• 58 years of IT operations experience is stated; assume breadth in SAP and globalIT exposure.

Job Title: Assistant Manager IT (Applications & SAP)

The Assistant Manager IT will serve as the local point of contact for all IT operations in India. This role focuses on executing Global IT strategies at the local level, providing hands-on SAP functional support, and managing local vendor relationships. You will ensure that the India office remains aligned with Global IT standards while maintaining high uptime for local infrastructure and supporting end-users.

Key Responsibilities

• 1. SAP & Global Application Support (Local Pillar) 70%
  • Provide first-line SAP functional support (specifically FICO) for local users; troubleshoot issues and elevate complex bugs to the Global SAP team or external consultants.
  • Act as the local coordinator for SAP enhancements, ensuring Global templates are followed while meeting local statutory requirements (e.g., GST in India).
  • Support and maintain other business applications as directed by Global IT.
• 2. Global-Local Liaison & Vendor Management 10%
  • Collaborate closely with the CAP & Group IT team to implement group-wide policies, security standards, and infrastructure projects.
  • Manage local IT vendors (ISPs, hardware suppliers, and AMC partners) for procurement and maintenance, ensuring compliance with global budgets and standards.
• 3. Infrastructure & Cloud Maintenance Experience 10%
  • Leading the IT Support contractor (2/3 days per week) to perform day-to-day administration of local servers and network hardware to ensure 100% connectivity with Global data centers.
  • Monitor the SAP local instances of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
  • Execute IT security protocols locally and requirement from CAP/Global IT team, including patch management, antivirus updates, and access audits.
• 4. End-User & Remote Support 10%
  • Leading the IT Support contractor (2/3 days per week) to provide onsite and remote technical support to India-based staff and branch locations.
  • Manage local user lifecycle (onboarding/offboarding) in Active Directory and O365, ensuring permissions align with global security matrices.
  • Maintain the local helpdesk queue, ensuring tickets are resolved within agreed SLAs.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Education: B.E. / B.Tech / BCA / B.Sc (IT).
• Experience: 58 years in IT operations, with a strong background in SAP FICO and S4 HANA implementation (Mandatory) and basic knowledge of SD/MM/WM.
• Global Exposure: Previous experience working in a multinational company (MNC) or reporting to a global/regional headquarters is highly preferred.
• Technical Base: Hands-on experience with Windows Servers, Networking (VPN, SD-WAN), and Cloud (AWS/Azure).
