Job summary

Cyient DLM Limited in Hyderabad, India, seeks a Senior Executive – EOHS to ensure a safe, healthy and environmentally compliant workplace across the organization. You will drive regulatory compliance, risk management, and emergency preparedness while promoting a continuous safety culture.

The role requires a Diploma/Degree in Industrial Safety, preferred EOHS certifications, and 5–8 years in manufacturing or similar sectors.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Industrial Safety recognized by the State Technical Board.
• Additional certifications in Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) or ISO Management Systems are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety requirements across all workplace operations.
• Maintain and manage the Occupational Health Centre.
• Conduct daily shop-floor safety inspections to identify and eliminate unsafe conditions and acts.
• Organize safety induction programs for new employees and periodic safety training programs.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety awareness campaigns, and safety committee meetings.
• Develop and implement safety guards and machine safety systems.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed investigation reports.
• Ensure 100% compliance with Telangana Government statutory requirements.
• Obtain and renew Factory License, Explosive License, Labour License, Pollution Control Board Consents, and other regulatory approvals.
• Prepare and submit statutory returns to relevant authorities.
• Coordinate waste management and ensure PCB compliance.
• Develop SOPs for operational activities and conduct JHA/HIRA risk assessments.
• Manage work permit systems for critical activities and develop emergency response plans.

Job Purpose

The role is responsible for driving safety culture, regulatorycompliance, risk management, emergency preparedness, and continuous improvementinitiatives.

Educational Qualification

• Diplomaor Degree in Industrial Safety recognized by the State Technical Board.
  
• Additionalcertifications in Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) or ISO ManagementSystems are preferred.
  

Preferred Experience

• 5 to8 Years Experience in manufacturing, electronics, aerospace, defense, EMS,or industrial environments.
  
• Hands-onknowledge of Factory Act, PCB regulations, hazardous waste management, andsafety management systems.

Key Responsibilities

Safety & Occupational HealthManagement

• Conductenvironmental monitoring as per Pollution Control Board (PCB) standardsand consent conditions.
  
• Fileenvironmental returns including Form-3, Form-4, Form-5, Form-8, Form-10,and other applicable reports.
  
• Implementand monitor waste management systems in compliance with PCB regulations.
  
• Verifythat scrap disposal vendors possess valid PCB authorizations.
  
• Prepareand implement SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for operationalactivities.
  
• ConductJob Hazard Analysis (JHA) and Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment(HIRA).
  
• Managework permit systems and risk assessments for critical activities.
  
• Developemergency response plans and conduct mock drills, firefighting, andfirst-aid training programs.
  

Safety Systems &Infrastructure

• Ensurefire extinguishers, fire alarm systems, public address systems, and firedetection systems remain operational and periodically tested.
  
• Monitorsafety-critical equipment and coordinate AMC servicing and maintenance.
  
• Ensurestatutory fitness certification of lifting equipment, compressors, andpressure vessels through competent authorities.
  
• Coordinateprocurement and availability of quality PPEs (Personal ProtectiveEquipment).
  
• Implementand maintain ISO standards and other certified management systems.
  
• Establishand sustain 5S practices across the workplace.
  
• Conductinternal safety audits and track corrective actions.
  
• Prepareweekly, monthly, and management MIS reports on EOHS performance.
  
• Drivesafety culture initiatives and continuous improvement programs across theorganization.

• Coordinatewith internal departments, contractors, vendors, regulatory authorities,and management teams.
