Job summary

Enzene Biosciences Ltd in Pune/Chakan is seeking a Senior Executive- Engineering (Utility) with BE/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering. You will operate, maintain and optimize electrical and utility systems across GMP facilities, including gas banks and critical spares management.

The role requires preventive maintenance planning, regulatory compliance support, and documentation of SOPs/QMS. Shift rotations and cross-functional coordination are expected in a dynamic biopharma setting.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Experience in operation and maintenance of electrical systems and utilities is essential.
• Knowledge of GMP/GDP regulatory expectations is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems including DG sets, transformers, HT/LT yards, APFC, meters, LT rooms, power changeovers and UPS.
• Maintain utility equipment such as chillers, boilers, air compressors, air dryers, water treatment, ETP, fire safety systems and solar.
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance per approved schedules and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with statutory safety and regulatory standards; support audits and close observations.
• Prepare and revise SOPs and QMS documents; maintain equipment logs and maintenance records per GMP/GDP.
• Operate and maintain gas banking systems for O2, CO2, N2 and argon per procedures.
• Identify critical spares, coordinate procurement, and keep inventory adequate for uninterrupted operations.
• Plan and coordinate annual power and boiler shutdowns with required inspections and approvals.
• Prepare/update electrical drawings and P&IDs using AutoCAD; maintain revision control.
• Be willing to work in all three shifts on a rotational basis.

Job Title: Senior Executive- Engineering (Utility)

Location: Pune, Chakan

Qualification: BE/B. Tech (Electrical Engineering)

Key Responsibilities:

• Electrical Systems Operation & Maintenance: Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems, including DG sets, 33 kV/22 kV transformers, HT switchyards, LT yards, APFC panels, ACBs, metering systems, LT rooms, power changeover systems, and UPS systems.
• Utilities Operation & Maintenance: Ensure efficient operation and maintenance of utility equipment, including chillers, IBR boilers, air compressors, air dryers, water pre-treatment systems, ETP systems, fire hydrant and fire alarm systems, solar systems, and refrigeration systems.
• Preventive Maintenance: Plan, execute, and monitor preventive maintenance activities for engineering and utility equipment in accordance with approved maintenance schedules and procedures.
• Regulatory Compliance & Audits: Ensure compliance with applicable statutory requirements, safety regulations, and regulatory standards. Support regulatory audits and ensure timely closure of observations, wherever applicable.
• Documentation & QMS: Prepare and revise SOPs and QMS documents. Maintain equipment logbooks, preventive maintenance planners, maintenance records, and other engineering and utility documentation in accordance with GMP/GDP requirements.
• Gas Banking System Management: Operate and maintain gas banking systems for oxygen (O₂), carbon dioxide (CO₂), nitrogen (N₂), and argon. Ensure adherence to applicable gas-handling procedures and safety regulations.
• Critical Spares Management: Identify critical spares for engineering and utility equipment, coordinate procurement, and maintain adequate inventory to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Statutory Shutdown Activities: Plan and execute annual power and boiler shutdowns, coordinating inspections and statutory certification or approval activities as required.
• Electrical & Utility Drawings: Prepare and update electrical drawings and utility P&IDs using AutoCAD, ensuring proper documentation and revision control.
• Shift Flexibility: Be willing to work in all three shifts on a rotational basis, as and when required.
