Qualifications

• Education: B.Pharm / M.Pharm / M.Sc. in Pharmaceutics, Ayurveda, Herbal Science, or related field.
• Executive: 13 years of hands-on experience in formulation development of herbal or Ayurvedic products.
• Sr. Executive: 36 years of relevant experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new herbal formulations based on traditional knowledge and modern science.
• Conduct pre-formulation studies, compatibility studies, and pilot trials.
• Prepare and review FDR, MFR, and BMR.
• Scale-up activities from R&D to commercial batch production.
• Ensure regulatory compliance (AYUSH, FSSAI, WHO-GMP).
• Collaborate with QA, QC, Production, and Regulatory Affairs.
• Conduct stability studies per ICH guidelines.
• Source and evaluate new herbal ingredients and excipients.
• Troubleshoot formulation and production issues.

We are looking for an experienced and innovative Sr. Executive / Executive Formulation & Development to join our R&D team in the Herbal Pharmaceutical domain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and optimizing formulations for herbal and Ayurvedic products, ensuring efficacy, stability, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop new herbal formulations (tablets, capsules, syrups, granules, ointments, etc.) based on traditional knowledge and modern scientific principles.
• Conduct pre-formulation studies, compatibility studies, and pilot trials.
• Prepare and review formulation development reports (FDR), master formula records (MFR), and batch manufacturing records (BMR).
• Conduct process optimization and scale-up activities from R&D to commercial batch production.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines (AYUSH, FSSAI, WHO-GMP, etc.).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as QA, QC, Production, and Regulatory Affairs.
• Conduct and support stability studies as per ICH guidelines.
• Source and evaluate new herbal ingredients and excipients for development purposes.
• Handle technical documentation for regulatory submissions and product dossiers.
• Troubleshoot formulation and production-related issues and suggest improvements.
• Stay updated with industry trends, innovations in herbal actives, and regulatory changes.

Qualifications

• Education: B.Pharm / M.Pharm / M.Sc. in Pharmaceutics, Ayurveda, Herbal Science, or related field.
• Experience:
  • Executive: 13 years of hands‑on experience in formulation development of herbal or Ayurvedic products.
  • Sr. Executive: 36 years of relevant experience in a similar role.

Key Skills

• Strong knowledge of herbal ingredients, their pharmacological actions, and extraction methods.
• Experience in dosage form development and process validation.
• Familiarity with herbal pharmacopeia standards (API, BP, USP, etc.).
• Good understanding of regulatory requirements related to AYUSH and FSSAI.
• Proficient in documentation, report writing, and MS Office.
