Job summary

Gi Group Holding in Gurugram is seeking a Senior Engineer (BiW/Frame) with 3–5 years of experience to develop and integrate vehicle body structures. The role emphasizes meeting safety, regulatory, and cost targets while ensuring manufacturability and alignment with styling intent.

You will create detailed CATIA V5 designs and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive design maturity, release readiness, and successful integration with doors, glazing, and chassis systems.

Qualifications

• B.tech (Full time) is required; diploma not accepted.
• 3–5 years of experience in vehicle structure development.
• 5 days on-site (WFO) requirement.
• Gurugram location and role focus on vehicle structure

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate vehicle Body (BiW or frame) system, including hinges, latches, seals, glazing, and mounting interfaces.
• Translate customer, regulatory, and functional requirements into technical specifications and development targets for the structural system.
• Develop structural concepts considering safety, crash performance, durability, manufacturability, weight and cost targets.
• Create CAD detail designs (3D and 2D) for structural components using CATIA V5, ensuring integration with other vehicle systems.
• Ensure compliance with structural, safety, and regulatory requirements including accessibility, and durability.
• Support cross-functional development activities including design reviews, integration discussions, and coordination with architecture and all other vehicle system and integration teams.
• Support the CAD release process and provide recommendations for design maturity and release readiness.

Job Description:

The role focuses on the development and integration of upper/lower body structure ensuring compliance with styling intent, functional requirements, manufacturability, weight-and cost targets, as well as regulatory standards.

Tasks:

• Develop and integrate vehicle Body (BiW or frame) system, including hinges, latches, seals, glazing, and mounting interfaces.
• Translate customer, regulatory, and functional requirements into technical specifications and development targets for the structural system.
• Develop structural concepts considering safety, ergonomics, crash performance, durability, manufacturability, weight optimization, and cost targets.
• Create and maintain CAD detail designs (3D and 2D) for structural components using CATIA V5, ensuring proper integration with all other vehicle systems (doors & closures, glazing, PWT, EE, chassis, thermal, exterior, interior).
• Ensure compliance with relevant structural, safety, and regulatory requirements including accessibility, and durability.
• Support cross-functional development activities including design reviews, integration discussions, and coordination with architecture and all other vehicle system and integration teams.
• Support the CAD release process and provide recommendations for design maturity and release readiness.
