Job summary

Gilbarco Veeder Root in India is seeking a seasoned leader to drive NPI projects and manage electrical commodities across site operations. You will lead strategic initiatives to deliver value in cost, quality, and delivery while coordinating with global suppliers and internal teams.

The role requires 5–8 years in electronics manufacturing, a BE in Electronics/Electrical, and strong analytical skills with Excel/Access.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead NPI projects with revenue around $20M and savings around $5M.
• Drive electrical commodity management with global suppliers (~$2M).
• Drive should-cost initiatives with team and external consultants.
• Collaborate with Category team on stocking, pricing and commercial terms.
• Identify new suppliers to achieve cost advantages on parts.
• Coordinate with Planning for S&OP, MRP, replenishment and long lead planning.

Purpose of Position

Provide strategic and tactical leadership of NPI Projects and Electrical commodities across site business operations Develop & implement strategies that are aligned with and enhance platform for quality, cost, delivery & growth .

Key Responsibilities

• To drive NPI projects of about $20Mn revenue with $5Mn savings opportunity.
• To drive the electrical commodity of $ 2mn coming from 10 suppliers across the world.
• Driving should cost with the team and external consultants
• To work with Category team and initiate the contracts for stocking, Pricing and other commercial terms
• Identify potential new suppliers of this commodity to get the right cost of the parts.
• To work with Planning team to initiate the proper flow down of S&OP and implementation of MRP, replenishment mechanism and long lead planning.

Work Experience: 5 - 8 years

Graduation/ Degree: B.E Electronics/Electrical

Background and Skills

5 to 8 years overall business experience with at least five years of that in Electronics manufacturing industry and consolidating the spend of the following commodities per GVR global Electrical, Electronic components, Wire harness, Motors, LCDs, Keypad etc.

• Effective planning, organization, and leadership skills
• New product introduction and development skills from supply chain
• Global knowledge, skills, and demonstrated experience specified commodities
• India transportation & logistics knowledge, skills, and demonstrated experience
• Strong analytical background including experience with tools such as Excel & Access
• Ability & experience interfacing at all levels of the organization
• Ability to articulate clear vision and convey a sense of urgency
• Ability & willingness to work in a matrix organization with direct & indirect reporting relationships
• Ability & willingness to achieve excellent results with minimal supervision.
