You will implement QA/QC procedures, inspect workmanship, coordinate with site teams, and ensure compliance with IS codes and NBC. The incumbent should have Civil Engineering basics and hands-on QA/QC experience on high-rise projects.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering is required.
• Practical experience with Mivan shuttering and quality inspection of high-rise construction is essential.
• Working knowledge of quality systems, IS codes, and QA/QC documentation practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct day-to-day inspections and quality checks across all stages of construction—from excavation to finishing.
• Implement ITPs, QA checklists, and work inspection requests (WIRs) with execution team.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, IS codes, NBC, and internal standards.
• Inspect Mivan shuttering for alignment, verticality, and surface finish prior to concrete pouring.
• Monitor placement of electrical sleeves, plumbing inserts, and rebar as per drawings before pour.
• Verify proper de-shuttering, curing, and joint treatments post-casting.
• Supervise material testing and maintain test reports; calibrate lab instruments.

Job Summary

The Senior Engineer – QA/QC is responsible for implementing and maintaining quality assurance and control procedures at the project site. The role ensures strict adherence to quality standards, with specific focus on Mivan shuttering, structural concrete, and finishing activities, to ensure high-quality, defect-free project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Control & Assurance

• Conduct day-to-day inspections and quality checks across all stages of construction — from excavation to finishing
• Implement ITPs, QA checklists, and work inspection requests (WIRs) in coordination with the execution team
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, IS codes, NBC, and internal standards

Mivan Technology Focus

• Inspect Mivan shuttering for alignment, verticality, and surface finish prior to concrete pouring
• Monitor placement of electrical sleeves, plumbing inserts, and rebar as per drawings before pour
• Verify proper de-shuttering, curing, and joint treatments post-casting

Testing & Inspection

• Supervise material testing (concrete cubes, steel, cement, aggregates, water) as per frequency
• Maintain updated records of internal and third-party test reports
• Ensure calibration of measuring equipment and lab instruments is up to date

Non-Conformance & Corrective Action

• Identify, document, and report non-conformities with appropriate corrective measures
• Follow up on rectifications and ensure closure of NCRs and snags
• Support root cause analysis and suggest preventive improvements

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain QA/QC site documentation including inspection reports, pour cards, and test registers
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly QA/QC reports to management
• Support in QA/QC document handovers and final close-out procedures

Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate with site engineers, subcontractors, and consultants for inspection approvals
• Guide junior QA/QC staff and site supervisors on quality standards and site protocols
• Participate in quality review meetings and support consultant/client interactions

Qualifications

• B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering
• Practical experience with Mivan shuttering and quality inspection of high-rise construction is essential
• Working knowledge of quality systems, IS codes, and QA/QC documentation practices
