Job summary

Emerson is seeking a proactive Proposals Engineer in Mumbai to rapidly interpret customer inquiries and craft accurate, timely proposals. You will align with internal partners on strategy, coordinate with factories for unique requirements, and manage technical checks of purchase orders.

Qualifications

• Degree in Instrumentation Engineering and at least 3 years in a proposals role.
• Strong working knowledge of flow measurement technologies.
• Excellent problem solving and written/verbal communication.
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and collaborate across teams.
• Experience with Oracle GQF, CRM systems and product advisory tools.

Job description

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Possess strong understanding and clear working knowledge of Flow measurement technologies such as coriolis, vortex, electromagnetic flowmeters
• Perform technical review of customer’s enquiry and make note of key points
• Get agreement with key collaborators on offering strategy
• Work with our factories on customer’s special requirements
• Identify clarifications / deviations / assumptions against customer specifications
• Develop timely & error‑free proposals
• Assist in resolving technical queries from customers
• Maximize usage of tools such as Oracle GQF, CRM, Product Advisor, MyEmerson.
• Perform technical check of customer’s Purchase Order
• Maintain up to date knowledge of existing products, complete training to develop additional skills and new product knowledge.
• Collaborate with colleagues to understand business priorities and drive improvement opportunities.
