Job summary

Emerson in India is seeking a proposals specialist to drive Ovation DCS and Ovation Green SCADA proposals. You will plan and prepare technically sound proposals, work with Sales and Marketing to understand customer needs, and coordinate with procurement for techno-commercial offers.

The role requires a B.Tech/B.E with 5–8 years in DCS/Power/ Renewable instrumentation and proposals, strong DCS/SCADA hardware/software knowledge, and proven project leadership with clients.

Qualifications

• B.Tech/B.E required with 5–8 years in DCS/Power/Renewable Instrumentation/Proposals.
• Knowledge of hardware and software functions of DCS/SCADA systems.
• Experience leading projects and interacting with customers.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to capture customer requirements.
• Coordinate with procurement and vendors for techno-commercial offers.
• Ensure accurate costing and timely completion of LOA and master schedule.
• Interact with Emerson SCM teams for quotes on non-DCS/Non Emerson items.
• Document records per Quality Procedures.
• Develop expertise to take on independent assignments.
• Use online costing tool EET for costing and budgeting.

Job description

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Plan and prepare proposals on Ovation DCS, Ovation Green SCADA Package solutions.
• Work closely with Sales and Marketing team to understand and incorporate the customer requirements in the Proposal.
• Conduct plant walk-down surveys to identify the challenges for retrofits.
• Co-ordinate with the procurement teams and, as required, works with vendors for techno commercial offers for the proposal.
• Work on the available tools available to gain proficiency for using them.
• Ensure that the most cost effective solutions are developed and proposed
• Techno-commercial reviews/meetings with customers for key projects
• Accurate and timely completion of activities like LOA, Master Schedule, smooth handing over to Projects group etc
• Interact with various vendors and Emerson SCM teams for obtaining best quotes for all Non DCS-Non Emerson items
• Documenting all records properly in line with Department Quality Procedures
• Support a team concept to share expertise and level of workload
• Develop expertise in specific functional area and working knowledge of related disciplines to lead to more independent assignments
• USE online costing tool EET for preparation of costing and budgets

For This Role, You Will Need:

• B.Tech/B.E is essential with 5-8 years of DCS/Power Plant / Renewable Power Instrumentation/Proposals experience. Candidate having following exposure would be an added advantage;
• The candidate should have knowledge of Hardware and Software functions of DCS / SCADA systems.
• The candidate should have experience leading the project or manage project related tasks, interaction with customers (internal and external)
• Good communication skills

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

• Previous work experience in Proposals or Operations / Maintenance of Renewable Power Plants.
