Job summary

Wipro Water, a unit of Wipro Infrastructure Engineering in Mumbai, seeks an experienced Project Engineer to manage small to mid-scale water projects from post-order to handover. You will plan schedules, supervise sites, coordinate with internal teams and customers, and ensure compliance with contract terms.

The ideal candidate will have 6–8 years of project experience in water EPC, strong analytical abilities, and hands-on SAP BOM/PR workflow exposure.

Qualifications

• BE / Diploma in Mechanical engineering, preferably BE / B.Tech.
• 6–8 years of project experience in water EPC.
• Experience in post-order execution, planning and site supervision.

Responsibilities

• Execute small to medium scale projects from post order to handover.
• Review purchase orders and customer specifications.
• Prepare BOM and indent per contract scope.
• Kick-off meeting with customer to finalize execution schedule.
• Develop engineering documents with design team; obtain customer approval.
• Prepare and release BOQ for fabricated items through SAP.
• Monitor progress of fabricated items.
• Coordinate QA/QC with third parties.
• Monitor dispatch per invoicing plan.
• Regular site visits for execution supervision.
• Complete work within schedule and budget; handover.
• Collect payments as per contract terms.
• Submit project progress reports to management.

Key Accountabilities: List the key areas of responsibility

This position is accountable for execution of small to medium scale Projects from post order to handover, which involves planning, timely dispatch, site supervision, and handover.

• Receipt and review of purchase order / Technical specification of Customer
• Preparation of BOM and indent according to contract scope
• Kick off Meeting with customer for finalization of execution schedule
• Engineering document development with the help of in-house design and engineering team Preparation, Submission & Approval from customer
• Preparation & Release of indent (BOQ) for B/out items & fabricated items through SAP process (PR)
• Review & progress monitoring of fabricated items
• Arrangement for QA /QC checks with 3rd party
• Monitoring of dispatch as per invoicing plan
• Periodic visit to site for execution supervision
• Complete work as per schedule within project budget and handover
• Collection of payments as per Contract Terms
• Submission of project progress report to management
