To contribute to the growing utilities infrastructure design team delivering water sector assets including pumping stations, networks (gravity and pumped), storage reservoirs, and treatment works (potable water and/or wastewater) for various UK projects including residential, industrial, commercial, transport, water, retail, health and education projects
Responsibilities
- Work as part of WSP’s UK iCRC Water team in Bengaluru.
- Lead the technical delivery of a range of projects relating to water and wastewater infrastructure works from Bengaluru office.
- Lead day to day liaison with our UK PMs and engineers to ensure project deliverables are developed in accordance with client scope, budget, timescales and quality requirements.
- Drive innovation and digital delivery culture to the next level.
- Support the Team Leader with resource and other management duties.
- Support technical development of Engineers, Technicians and Graduates.
- Carryout checks and reviews of projects, assuring quality delivery right first time.
Qualifications
- M.Tech, Master of Science (MS) or bachelor’s degree (BE) in Civil/ Chemical/ Environmental Engineering. Master’s degree preferred.
- 12 to 15 years’ experience preferably based on delivering projects to the UK Water Industry.
- Professional accreditation from ICE or CIWEM.
- Experience working on planning and design of water and wastewater treatment plants projects is a plus.
- Clear understanding of water and wastewater infrastructure design concepts, treatment process and related hydraulics.
- Candidate should have clear and demonstrable technical understanding of standards and norms specific to UK Water Industry.
- Strong experience reviewing design drawings developed by CAD/BIM Technicians on software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit and Plant 3D.
