The Engineer – Project Delivery is responsible for supporting the planning, execution, coordination, and successful completion of engineering projects from initiation through closeout. This role works closely with project managers, engineering teams, contractors, suppliers, clients, and internal stakeholders to ensure that project deliverables are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with approved technical and quality requirements.

The position combines engineering knowledge with project coordination, documentation, progress monitoring, risk management, and stakeholder communication. The successful candidate will help translate project requirements into practical execution plans and ensure that all activities are aligned with organizational standards, contractual obligations, applicable regulations, and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Execution
  • Support the development of project execution plans, schedules, work packages, resource plans, and delivery milestones.
  • Review project scope, technical specifications, drawings, contracts, and client requirements to establish clear delivery objectives.
  • Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover activities as applicable to the project.
  • Monitor project progress against approved schedules, budgets, quality plans, and performance targets.
  • Assist in identifying project constraints, dependencies, and potential delivery issues at an early stage.
  • Ensure that project activities are properly sequenced and coordinated across relevant disciplines and workstreams.
Engineering Coordination
  • Coordinate with design and engineering teams to ensure that technical outputs are complete, accurate, and issued in accordance with project requirements.
  • Review engineering documents, calculations, drawings, specifications, method statements, and technical submissions for alignment with approved standards.
  • Support the resolution of technical queries, design changes, interface issues, and requests for information.
  • Facilitate communication between engineering, site, procurement, commissioning, and client teams.
  • Ensure that technical decisions and changes are properly recorded, reviewed, and communicated to affected stakeholders.
Schedule, Cost, and Progress Control
  • Track project activities, deliverables, milestones, and key performance indicators.
  • Prepare regular progress updates, status reports, dashboards, and management summaries.
  • Support forecasting of project resource requirements, costs, schedule impacts, and completion dates.
  • Identify deviations from the approved plan and assist in developing recovery and mitigation actions.
  • Maintain accurate records of completed work, outstanding actions, risks, issues, and project dependencies.
  • Coordinate with project controls personnel to support schedule updates, cost monitoring, earned value tracking, and change management.
Stakeholder and Contractor Management
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Participate in project meetings, technical reviews, progress meetings, coordination sessions, and site meetings.
  • Prepare agendas, meeting minutes, action trackers, and follow-up reports.
  • Monitor contractor and supplier performance against agreed scope, schedule, quality, and safety requirements.
  • Support the review of technical and commercial submissions, purchase orders, work orders, and deliverables.
  • Build collaborative working relationships while ensuring that project requirements and contractual commitments are maintained.
Risk, Quality, Health, Safety, and Compliance
  • Support the identification, assessment, monitoring, and mitigation of project risks and opportunities.
  • Ensure project activities comply with applicable engineering standards, legal requirements, company procedures, and client specifications.
  • Promote a strong health, safety, and environmental culture across all project activities.
  • Participate in inspections, audits, quality reviews, non-conformance investigations, and corrective action processes.
  • Verify that required approvals, permits, inspection records, test documentation, and quality records are maintained.
  • Escalate safety, quality, technical, schedule, and commercial concerns through the appropriate channels.
Documentation and Project Closeout
  • Maintain organized and accurate project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support document control processes, including review, approval, distribution, revision tracking, and archiving.
  • Compile technical records, test certificates, inspection reports, as-built documentation, operation and maintenance information, and handover packages.
  • Assist with commissioning, performance verification, punch-list closure, and final acceptance activities.
  • Contribute to project closeout reports, lessons learned, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Requirements
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Relevant professional experience in engineering project delivery, project execution, construction, infrastructure, manufacturing, energy, technology, or a comparable industry.
  • Experience supporting projects through multiple phases, including planning, design coordination, procurement, execution, commissioning, and handover.
  • Practical understanding of project management principles, engineering workflows, document control, and progress reporting.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, suppliers, and client representatives.
Technical and Professional Skills
  • Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, risk management, change control, quality management, and technical coordination.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, technical documents, and project schedules.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and project reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with project management and collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, SharePoint, or equivalent systems.
