Planning and Schedule Development
- Develop and maintain detailed, integrated project schedules covering engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and related project activities.
- Convert project scope, work breakdown structures, execution strategies, and contractual requirements into structured plans and schedules.
- Establish activity sequencing, logical relationships, durations, milestones, constraints, and resource requirements.
- Prepare baseline schedules and ensure alignment with approved project objectives, budgets, deliverables, and execution strategies.
- Support the development of short-term, medium-term, and long-term planning schedules.
- Integrate schedules from engineering, procurement, construction, vendors, contractors, and other project stakeholders.

Progress Monitoring and Reporting
- Collect, validate, and analyze progress information from project teams, contractors, vendors, and functional departments.
- Update project schedules regularly using actual progress, forecast dates, productivity information, and approved changes.
- Monitor planned versus actual progress and identify deviations, delays, critical activities, and emerging schedule risks.
- Prepare progress reports, look-ahead schedules, dashboards, schedule narratives, and management presentations.
- Track key milestones, deliverables, interfaces, approvals, procurement activities, construction work fronts, and commissioning requirements.
- Provide clear visibility of schedule performance to project management and relevant stakeholders.
Schedule Analysis and Control
- Perform critical path analysis, float analysis, trend analysis, and schedule impact assessments.
- Identify potential delays and recommend practical recovery, mitigation, and acceleration strategies.
- Evaluate the effect of scope changes, design revisions, late information, procurement delays, resource constraints, and site conditions on project schedules.
- Support the preparation and review of recovery schedules, catch-up plans, mitigation plans, and revised execution strategies.
- Conduct schedule health checks to verify logic, durations, relationships, constraints, calendars, progress status, and data integrity.
- Maintain schedule control in accordance with established project controls procedures and reporting requirements.
Coordination and Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, operations, contracts, commercial, quality, and project management teams.
- Facilitate planning meetings, progress review meetings, schedule workshops, and coordination sessions.
- Obtain timely updates from responsible parties and challenge progress information where required.
- Communicate schedule risks, dependencies, constraints, and recommended actions in a clear and professional manner.
- Support alignment between project schedules, contractor schedules, resource plans, procurement plans, and execution priorities.
- Build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders across multiple disciplines.
Change and Risk Management
- Support the assessment of schedule implications arising from change orders, variations, claims, design changes, and revised project requirements.
- Maintain records of schedule changes, approved adjustments, assumptions, constraints, and key planning decisions.
- Identify schedule-related risks and opportunities and contribute to project risk mitigation planning.
- Provide planning input for delay analysis, extension-of-time assessments, recovery planning, and project claims when required.
- Ensure that approved changes are properly reflected in current schedules and forecasts.
Process Improvement and Team Support
- Improve planning, scheduling, reporting, and progress measurement processes to enhance project visibility and control.
- Develop and maintain standard planning templates, reporting formats, coding structures, and scheduling procedures.
- Provide guidance and technical support to planning engineers, schedulers, project engineers, and other team members.
- Promote consistent use of planning and scheduling best practices across projects and departments.
- Contribute to lessons-learned activities and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Requirements
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related technical discipline.
- Significant experience in project planning and scheduling, preferably within engineering, construction, infrastructure, energy, manufacturing, or other project-based environments.
- Proven experience developing and controlling integrated project schedules from initiation through completion.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary project teams, contractors, vendors, and senior stakeholders.
- Experience in progress measurement, schedule analysis, reporting, forecasting, and delay mitigation.
- Exposure to change management, risk management, cost control, and project controls practices is preferred.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of planning and scheduling principles, project execution methodologies, and schedule control practices.
- Proficiency in professional scheduling and project controls software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent tools.
- Strong understanding of work breakdown structures, activity coding, calendars, baselines, critical path methodology, float, resource loading, and schedule forecasting.
- Ability to analyze complex project data and produce accurate, meaningful reports and recommendations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
