Job summary

AKMV Consultants is seeking a Senior Engineer - Product Development for an industrial drone platform, based in Bengaluru/Chennai. You will own end-to-end development, improving mechanical, electrical, and tethered subsystems while aligning with manufacturing partners and certification needs.

You will prototype, validate, and test the platform, translate field feedback into design improvements, and drive documentation and BOM maintenance for a scalable product transition.

Qualifications

• Background in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Robotics Systems Engineering.
• Experience in Drone/UAV product development and DFMEA.
• Knowledge of flight mechanics, stability, payload calculations, and thrust analysis.
• Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, CATIA).
• Strong understanding of drone airframe fundamentals and propulsion systems.
• Hands-on prototyping and drone system integration.
• Flight Controller tuning (ArduPilot).

Responsibilities

• End-to-end product development ownership.
