Job summary

Ramboll India is seeking an experienced Project Engineer for process and water handling design. The role involves PHE system design, hydraulic calculations, and coordinating with architects, clients, and structural consultants to deliver quality, compliant engineering solutions.

The candidate will prepare drawings, review calculations, and ensure adherence to NFPA/NBC/IPC codes while supporting vendor bidding and ensuring project QA.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of professional experience in PH is required.
• Excellent organizational skills and time management to meet deadlines.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA codes NFPA 13,14 & 20.
• Familiarity with NBC/UPC/ASPE/IPC local bye laws.
• Experience with life cycle cost analysis.
• Experience preparing water consumption charts.
• Experience comparing sewage treatment methods.
• Knowledge of solid waste design requirements.
• Experience in irrigation design.
• Understanding of water bodies and swimming pool designs.
• Experience producing PHE design reports and single line diagrams.
• PHE system design and cross-disciplinary coordination.
• Calculation skills: pump head and hydraulics.
• Ability to coordinate with architects, clients, and structural consultants.
• Prepare specifications, BOQ, and price estimates.
• Support vendor bidding and negotiations with technical queries.
• Coordinate with Electrical/HVAC and other departments.

• Must possess with 5 -10 years of professional experience in PH
• Excellent organizational skills, effective time management, including the ability to deal with conflicting demands in order to meet deadlines, prioritize heavy workload and have a willingness to work flexibly.
• Complete understanding of NFPA codes specially NFPA 13,14 & 20
• Complete understanding of codes such as NBC/UPC/ASPE/ IPC local bye laws.
• Life cycle cost analysis for various system.
• Preparation of Water Consumption charts.
• Preparation of comparisons between various sewage treatment methods.
• Solid waste management design requirements
• Preparation of Irrigations Designs.
• Understanding of Water Bodies and swimming pool Designs
• Preparation of PHE design Reports
• Design PHE systems and single line diagrams for the system.
• Spatial planning at the concept stage.
• Knowledge of pump head calculations , hydraulic calculations.
• Designing of PHE system layouts in coordination with Architects, client and structural consultants.
• Preparation of specification, bill of quantities and price estimates.
• Assist during vendor bidding and negotiation meetings along with the client to represent the technical queries.
• Coordination within departments such as Electrical / HVAC and others to ensure that the services are well coordinated.
