Job summary

Ramboll in India, Gurgaon, seeks an Engineer, Electrical, REC to join its advanced engineering centre. You will lead electrical design for LV switchgear, power distribution, EPG, earthing, lighting, and safety systems across large-scale infrastructure projects.

The role requires a degree in electrical engineering and 3+ years of international project experience, with proficiency in ETAP, AMTECH, DIALUX Evo, AutoCAD, Revit, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Master/bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• Minimum 3+ years of professional experience in electrical engineering, system design and calculations with relevant international project experience.
• Strong proficiency in calculation software such as, ETAP, AMTECH, DIALUX Evo & 4.13, FEBDOK, SEE-Electrical, etc.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit for 2D and 3D modelling and coordination.
• Proven track record on large-scale international infrastructure projects such as road/rail, tunnels, bridges, metros and aviation.
• Excellent technical reporting, communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Strong proficiency in English, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Design of Low Voltage Switchboards and LV sub-mains cabling.
• Design of Power distribution to mechanical equipment.
• Design of Emergency power systems (Diesel Generator, battery systems and UPS).
• Design of Earthing and bonding installations & lightning protection system.
• Design of Lighting, Lighting control, and Emergency lighting, both indoor and outdoor (Road/Tunnel/Metro Station).
• Design of Safety installations and Security installations
• Design of ducting in buildings and terrain
• Interdisciplinary coordination with mechanical, electrical, architectural, and civil teams to ensure integration of MEP-systems.
• Experience in collaboration tools such as ProjectWise, SharePoint, etc.

Job Description

As our newEngineer, Electrical, REC you will be part of a world-class, innovation-driven engineering design center owned by an independent trust and its employees. REC is a highly sophisticated center of engineering excellence and is based in our India head office in Gurgaon. Working in partnership with all our established offices globally, the Ramboll Engineering Centre (REC) is a center for excellence in design by offering optimized solutions to the rest of the organization.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

• Design of Low Voltage Switchboards and LV sub-mains cabling.
• Design of Power distribution to mechanical equipment.
• Design of Emergency power systems (Diesel Generator, battery systems and UPS).
• Design of Earthing and bonding installations & lightning protection system.
• Design of Lighting, Lighting control, and Emergency lighting, both indoor and outdoor (Road/Tunnel/Metro Station).
• Design of Safety installations and Security installations
• Design of ducting in buildings and terrain
• Strong knowledge of international and national design codes and standards
• Experience managing full project cycles, with strong knowledge of different design stages including concept, preliminary, tender, and detailed design, along with preparation of related technical documentation such as design reports and related 2D and 3D drawings.
• Experienced in performing technical reviews of design documents, equipment specifications, and compliance checks with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.
• Experienced in interdisciplinary coordination with mechanical, electrical, architectural, and civil teams to ensure seamless integration of MEP-systems.
• Experienced in collaboration tools such as ProjectWise, SharePoint, etc.
