Job summary

Vertiv Group Corporation in Pune is seeking a Senior Packaging Engineer to lead the development of packaging programs, drive technical decisions, and mentor junior engineers toward robust, compliant, and cost-effective solutions.

You will design and validate packaging for new products, define strategies aligned with business goals, perform advanced testing and root-cause analysis, and collaborate across functions to ensure sustainability and quality throughout the supply chain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 6-10 years of relevant packaging engineering experience.
• Understanding of global packaging standards and test procedures.
• Experience leading packaging projects end-to-end.
• Proficiency with CAD, PLM, and engineering documentation.

Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• Strong understanding of global packaging material and design standards
• Strong understanding of packaging and transportation test procedures.
• Proficiency in CAD, PLM, and engineering documentation.
• Demonstrated experience leading packaging projects end-to-end.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and technical leadership skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with global suppliers and contract manufacturers.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
