• Vendor selection, Costing, Purchase, and Rate Contracts.
• Work on Materials Cost Reduction Tools/ Techniques like JIT/ Kanban.
• Materials Planning and optimizing capacity at Vendors to reduce Inventory.
• Identifying and developing potential vendors for cost-effective purchases.
• Monitoring BOM Cost of New/Existing Product and cost reduction plans.
• Data handling to ensure accurate data usage.
• Ensure vendor payments as per agreement terms.

Role & responsibilities

• Good knowledge of Costing of components/New Product Development


• New Product Development (NPD)


• Development of New Vendors for New Components as well as old Components in all the commodities (Sheet metal, fabrication, wooden, Rubber, etc).


• Periodic follow up with Vendors, for sourcing of Material/components from Vendors.


• Rectification in the Components/Products as per the quality Report. Carry out the changes at Vendors End too, and same practice with vendors too.


• Right Vendor selection, Costing, Purchase, Rate Contract, Material Receipt & Inspection.


• Work on Materials Cost Reduction Tools/ Techniques lit JIT/ Kan-ban etc.


• Materials Planning, Reviewing, optimizing the capacity at Vendors end to reduce Inventory.


• Identifying and developing potential vendors for achieving cost effective purchases of materials; reduction in prices & timely delivery.


• Monitoring of BOM Cost of New/ Existing Product, initiate measures to optimize the same. Workout on the Cost Reduction Plans to ensure Cost Benchmarking.


• Data handling, to ensure every person uses appropriate data.


• Ensure the vendor payment as per agreement terms
