Job summary

Growth For Impact in India is seeking a Solar Asset O&M Specialist to support asset management reporting, ensure high plant and grid availability, and plan day-ahead site operations.

You will prepare daily/weekly/monthly generation reports, coordinate with partners to optimize asset performance, and supervise OMS team activities while maintaining HSSE compliance and documentation in ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Mandatory BE/BTech or Diploma in Electrical & Electronics.
• Experience in Solar Asset O&M operations and maintenance techniques.
• Knowledge of high/medium voltage apparatus and protection systems.
• Understanding contracting and regulatory frameworks.

Job description

ROLE

• – Support Solar Asset Management reporting and routines by providing data from available systems
• – Maintain high availability of plant and grid and ensure high forecasting accuracy
• – Plan day-ahead operational activities for the site
• – Prepare and update daily, weekly, and monthly generation reports
• – Manage Solar assets to ensure smooth functioning and compliance with contractual terms and conditions
• – Support on‑site implementation of defined systems, policies, and procedures for effective asset management
• – Ensure implementation of Apraava Energy Solar Asset Management systems on site
• – Control HSSE aspects of operational activities using approved procedures
• – Adhere to compliance requirements in the O&M plan, technical scope of work, OEM recommendations, and best practices
• – Follow Apraava Energy HSSE guidelines
• – Coordinate with Partner Asset Manager to monitor assets, ensure equipment availability, and execute activities per O&M agreement
• – Conduct audits of O&M and HSSE systems according to specified timelines
• – Support CSR and sustainability activities at the asset
• – Perform O&M tasks, review permits to work, and verify certificates submitted by the OMS team
• – Supervise OMS team O&M activities to ensure quality work and reduced mean time between repairs
• – Monitor asset performance against the approved O&M plan, identify issues, analyze causes, and collaborate with Partner Asset Manager for resolution
• – Maintain timely maintenance of all asset management documents, checklists, safety documents, and update maintenance records in the ERP system
• – Keep documentation up to date for audit preparedness
• – Ensure compliance of all asset activities with HSSE parameters and policies, aiming for zero non‑compliance incidents
• – Conduct regular checks of HSSE equipment and components
• – Deliver periodic toolbox talks for all asset personnel, including contractors and sub‑contractors, to promote HSSE awareness
• – Report HSSE accidents and near misses within defined timelines and monitor corrective actions
• – Highlight non‑compliance cases to Apraava Energy and Partner Asset Manager

REQUIREMENTS

• – Mandatory qualification: B.E./BTech or Diploma in Electrical & Electronics
• – Proficient in Solar Asset O&M operations and maintenance techniques
• – Knowledge of high/medium voltage apparatus and protection systems
• – Understanding of contracting and regulatory frameworks
• – Manpower handling and planning skills
• – Strong communication and reporting abilities
• – Ability to multitask across multiple tasks
• – Experience with asset performance monitoring, audits, and HSSE compliance
