Job summary

Motherson Group is seeking a Senior Engineer Maintenance Paintshop in Chennai to oversee smooth paint shop operations, ensure preventive maintenance, and manage spares and SAP-based service orders. The role involves coordinating with PED on new projects and driving energy-saving initiatives.

Candidate should have a mechanical or electrical engineering background with several years in maintenance, especially in robotic paintshop environments, and be prepared for shift-based maintenance activities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in maintenance engineering, preferably in robotic paintshop environments.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth operation of the paint shop with minimal breakdowns.
• Complete preventive maintenance as per schedule.
• Maintain paint shop equipment uptime per targets.
• Maintain paint shop equipment related critical spares.
• Complete new projects in assembly/paint shop in coordination with PED.
• Execute accepted suggestions and Kaizen activities.
• Drive energy saving and energy reduction projects in paint shop and other plant areas.
• Cross-check store stock at month end.
• Oversee inward and outward process of store stock daily.
• Arrange spares in the desired location and maintain maintenance stores.
• Maintain maintenance spares stores, paint shop documents, history cards and service orders in SAP.
• As an additional responsibility take care of shift maintenance activities as shift engineer.

What you'll do

• Responsible for smooth process of Paint shop without any major break down.
• Responsible for completing the preventive maintenance activity as per the schedule
• Responsible for maintaing the paint shop equipments up time as per the target.
• Responsible for maintaining the paint shop equipment related critical spares.
• Responsible for completion of new projects in assembly /paint shop in Coordination with PED
• Responsible for execution of the accepted suggession and Kaizen activity.
• Responsible for energy saving and energy reduction projects in Paint shop and other plant areas
• Responsible for cross checking the store stock during the month end
• Responsible for the inward and outward process of the store stock on daily basis
• Responsible for the arrangement of the spares in the desired locationand maintain the Maintenance stores in proper condition
• Responsible for maintaining Maintenance Spares stores, Paint shop related documents,history cards and service orders in SAP
• As an additional responsibility need to take care of shift maintenance activities as shift engineer
