Mission
The Offer Technical Leader (OTL) is the technical owner of LV Busway offers and is responsible for driving technical decisions throughout the product/project lifecycle. The role ensures that product solutions meet customer requirements, business objectives, cost targets, quality expectations, and applicable IEC standards while supporting innovation and competitiveness initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the technical scope of LV Busway products from concept through commercialization.
- Lead technical specification, system engineering, and critical design decisions.
- Define product architecture, interfaces, design choices, and key technical requirements.
- Support Product Owners in technical feasibility assessments, technical effort estimation, and roadmap planning.
- Drive technical risk analysis, FMEA, DfSR, CTQ deployment, and mitigation plans.
- Ensure robust and reliable product design through design reviews, simulations, prototyping, testing, and validation activities.
- Lead resolution of critical technical issues and support root cause analysis for customer, field, and manufacturing concerns.
- Ensure compliance with IEC 61439‑1/2/6 and applicable certification requirements.
- Drive Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), Design for Cost, value engineering, and localization initiatives.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Sourcing, Marketing, Certification, and Industrialization teams to ensure successful product development and launch.
- Support industrialization, product transfer, supplier qualification, and manufacturing readiness activities.
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for stakeholders outside the squad and provide technical guidance to engineering teams.
- Contribute to technology roadmaps, platform strategies, and future product development initiatives.
Requirements
- Strong experience in development and lifecycle management of LV Busways or LV equipment.
- Good understanding of system engineering, product architecture, reliability engineering, and validation methodologies.
- Working knowledge of IEC 61439 standards and product certification processes.
- Experience in product design, industrialization, and cost vs performance optimization.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes including sheet metal fabrication, stamping, machining, molding, and assembly.
- Working knowledge of Creo and PLM/PDM tools; exposure to simulation tools is preferred.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
Qualifications
- BE/B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electromechanical Engineering.
- 12–15 years of relevant experience in product design and development of LV electrical distribution products.
- Prior experience in Busway product development, technical leadership, and cross‑functional project execution is highly preferred.
