Job summary

ACCIONA Energía in Karnataka seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer for wind farm operations and maintenance. You will oversee preventive and corrective maintenance, monitor turbine performance, and ensure safety and ISO standards.

The role requires 7–10 years of field experience, strong English communication, and BE/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering. You will coordinate with control centers and subcontractors while maintaining equipment performance.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech or Electrical Engineering degree from a recognized university.
• 7–10 years of experience in operations and maintenance of wind farms.
• Excellent communication skills in English; able to coordinate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Attend preventive, corrective maintenance and improvement works on wind turbine generators and related equipment.
• Prepare daily generation and maintenance reports using hard/soft tools.
• Coordinate with CECORE control center to create outages for planned/unplanned activities.
• Document work done, spare consumption and actions with target completion dates.
• Ensure co-workers enter work logs and close open work orders without delay.

Job Description

• To Attend Preventive , Corrective maintenance and improvement works if any as per schedule; ensure WEG's and related equipment are maintained in neat and tidy and technically acceptable conditions according to standard engineering practices
• Prepare Daily generation reports and maintenance reports in hard and soft tools for the windfarm.
• Coordinate with CECORE control center to create outage for all planned /unplanned activities
• Document the work done indicating consumption of spares/ consumables, list further actions along with targeted completion dates.
• Ensure that the work log entry is made by the co-worker’s also checking open work orders and taking necessary action to closed without delay
• Inform Site manager of any abnormalities noticed that cannot be fixed immediately
• Keep up-to-date with all operating/ maintenance manuals, checklists, service bulletins, etc. applicable to the WEG and associated equipment, carry out servicing activities as per the latest certified checklists, manuals and service bulletins
• Train newly recruited co-workers & sub-contractors
• Ensure safety and care of all tools, tackles, measuring instruments and spare parts in custody
• Comply with all HSE / ISO & all other statutory requirements
• Ensure site office and SCADA room are maintained in good condition Monitor the performance of security personnel/ operators, report non-compliances Assist in the sub-assembly of WEG components at the factory premises whenever required
• Co-ordination with Site- Manager , store / MAXIMO entries, PMS, Accounts, Shift change, Technical Department, Inter department & KPTCL,
• Monitoring Log Book of each WTG Machine & necessary precautions to be achieve 99% of machine availability
• Identify repeated errors and take corrective actions, Maintain tools and communication equipment.
• To assess personal training needs, discuss with Sec / Site head, learn on job skills, get nominated on training programmes and improve skills.
• Has responsibility and authority to supervise subcontractor's operators and security contractor's personnel.
• Understanding the requirements, identifying the gaps, setting priorities, scheduling activities according to fulfil the requirement. If not satisfied with status quo, should identify areas for improvement and continuously drive to improve processes, methods, productivity, speed, quality, etc
• Need to prepare Daily Generation report & Insurance related documents for Business interruption &Material failure)
• Having thorough knowledge of Microsoft tools
• Support and being ready for all internal , external audits, legal audits, CEIG inspections at windfarm time to time.
• Participating RCA meetings and suggesting new ideas in problem solving to achieve the objectives.
• Achieving objectives projected by Site head, department head.
• Ensure strict adherence to ISO 45001 standards by following all health, safety, and risk management guidelines during execution of site activities and other related job at site.
• Prepare Monthly, Quarterly & yearly turbine performance report ,MTTR & MTBF reports
• This position is induvial contributor role and doesnot have any reportees.
• This position doesnot have authority for approvals.
• This position is accountable for above mentioned job description.
• Technical competency required for this position is SCADA and its operations, handle CTU and independently handle solar plant and managing contract employees at site.
• Behaviour competency – leadership, problem solving, team work, innovation.
• This position is also required to closely work with other departments as an when required.

Required Skills And Competencies

BE/B.Tech/ Electrical Engineer from reputed/recognized university.
Years of Experience required is 07 to 10 in the field of operations and Maintenance of wind farm.
