Job summary

Talent Leads HR is seeking a seasoned Construction Head to oversee wind project construction in India, from conception through completion. You will manage site execution, coordinate with EPC contractors, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Ideal candidates will bring extensive experience in utility-scale wind projects, strong leadership, and proficiency with SAP/ERP, MS Excel, and project reporting tools.

Qualifications

• 1520 years of experience in Wind Project Construction and Site Execution.
• Must currently be handling complete site responsibility for utility-scale Wind projects as a Site Head / Construction Head.
• Strong experience in execution of 100+ MW Wind projects will be preferred.
• Hands-on exposure to WTG foundations, roads, crane pads, WTG erection, pooling substations (33/132/220/400 kV), transmission systems, testing, and commissioning
• Proven experience managing EPC contractors, WTG OEMs, crane agencies, and large multi-functional site teams.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, site logistics, EHS, quality systems, and execution controls.
• Experience working in remote project locations with strong local stakeholder and administration management skills.
• Proficiency in SAP/ERP, MS Excel, and project reporting tools

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion.
• Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
• Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
• Cost Controlling of the project.
• Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
• Select tools, materials and equipment and track inventory.
• Meet contractual conditions of performance.
• Review the work progress on daily basis.
• Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
• Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
• Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licences.
• Analyse, manage and mitigate risks.
• Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
• Negotiating contracts with vendors, including prices and terms of payment.
• Monitoring project performance and ensuring that the project is completed according to the agreed upon schedule and within budget guidelines.
• Managing all aspects of the project, such as selecting contractors, obtaining permits, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Coordinating with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure compliance with building codes.
• Scheduling work crews, ordering materials, and tracking progress on a daily basis.
• Managing relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients throughout the life of the project.
• Working with clients to determine their needs, designing custom solutions, and estimating costs.
• Reviewing engineering plans and conducting inspections during construction to ensure compliance with building codes and specifications.
• Communicating regularly with clients on project status and providing updates on any changes to the timeline or plan.
• Effective utilisation of the resources.
• Technical Knowledge upon the Solar Plant Equipment.
• Preparation of Lessons Learnt after Completion of the Project.
