Job summary

MAHLE Pune invites a CFD Engineer to drive CAE project execution with MAHLE standards within agreed timelines. You will perform input reviews, build basic 3D models, create robust meshes, and post-process results with clear reports.

Preferred candidates have 2–5 years of hands-on CFD experience using STAR-CCM+/ANSYS Fluent, plus knowledge of fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and scripting (Python/Java) for automation. Join a team focused on automotive thermal management solutions.

Responsibilities

• Execute projects with MAHLE quality per standards within agreed timelines.

Job description

Role & responsibilities:

• Responsible for project execution with good quality as per the MAHLE standards/guidelines within agreed timeline.
• Perform input review to ensure the correct inputs/assumptions required for an analysis.
• CAD cleanup and creation of basic 3D models using the STAR-CCM+/ANSYS Fluent software.
• Creating a good quality and effective mesh for reducing solution time.
• Post-processing the results and preparing the reports in clear and concise formats.
• Validation of the simulation results with a product test data depending on specific requirement.
• Mentoring one or two team members on the MAHLE products and processes.
• Involvement in continuous improvement projects with innovative ideas and support for developing new CAE methods/processes.
• Align behavior and activities to achieve the department and organization goals.

Required Skills:

• Good knowledge of the fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer subjects.
• Know-how of the CFD analysis such as steady state, transient, MRF, pressure and velocity distribution, conjugate heat transfer, porous media calculations and 1D simulation etc.
• Hands-on experience of the CFD tools such as STAR-CCM+/ANSYS Fluent would be preferred.
• Knowledge of the PYTHON/JAVA scripting or any programming language for an automation will be an added advantage.
