Job summary

Commvault is seeking a Senior Engineer- C#/C++ to join the Server Team in Bangalore, Hyderabad or Pune. You will develop mission‑critical server components that power large‑scale backup, recovery and cyber resilience workloads, collaborating with globally distributed engineers to deliver scalable, reliable software.

You’ll design, implement, and optimize core modules, participate in architecture reviews, mentor junior engineers, and ensure SSDLC compliance while driving performance improvements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
• 4+ years of software development experience.
• Strong experience in C++, C#, OO design, and Dotnet.
• Good knowledge of Windows/Linux OS, multithreading, data structures, and networking.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain core server‑side components.
• Build scalable, high‑performance enterprise software.
• Participate in architecture discussions and design reviews.
• Write clean, well‑tested code and debug production issues.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Engineer on the Server Team, you will develop and enhance mission‑critical server components that process large-scale enterprise backup, recovery, and cyber resilience workloads. You'll collaborate with globally distributed engineering teams to deliver highly scalable, reliable, and high‑performance software.

What you’ll do…

• Design, develop, and maintain core server‑side components.

• Collaborate with Product Management, QA, DevOps, and cross‑functional engineering teams.

• Follow the Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC) by incorporating security throughout the software development process.

Who you are…

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 4 or more years of software development experience
• Strong experience in C++, C#, Object oriented design, Dotnet.
• Good knowledge of Operating Systems (Windows/Linux), Multithreading and concurrency, Data structures and algorithms, Networking concepts, Distributed systems.
• Experience with debugging and performance optimization.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work in Agile development environments.
• Security and SaaS experience strongly preferred.
