Job summary

Commvault is seeking a seasoned technical support professional to remotely assist US Sales Engineering Managers and Engineers with pre-sales activities, including POCs and demos. You will prepare documentation and coordinate discovery and RFI/RFP responses while communicating effectively with customers.

The role requires 5+ years in technical support or data recovery, cloud platform experience (Azure/AWS/GCP), and strong English communication. A global, remote-friendly environment is offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Technical Support or data recovery and backup solutions.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity basics and networking fundamentals (OSI layers, DNS, TCP/UDP).
• Proficiency with virtualization and container tech (VMware, Kubernetes, OpenStack/OpenShift).
• Excellent written and spoken English; strong PowerPoint presentation skills.

Responsibilities

Position Responsibilities:

• This role will be to remotely support various Sales Engineering Managers and Sales Engineers in the US market with pre-sales/sales engagements, primarily focussed on POC’s and Demos and support other pre-sales activities such as documentation, TODs, ALDs, RFI/RFPs, discovery& requirement gathering, technical research etc.

Position Requirements:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Technical Support and/or experience in data recovery, backup & recovery solutions with a focus on any one or more Cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS and GCP. Strong understanding of technology & cybersecurity basics, computer networking fundamentals, OSI layers, OSI layer protocols, Active directory& DNS basics, TCP, UDP etc.

Networking, Storage Systems, Hypervisors and container solutions such as VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV, Kubernetes, OpenStack, OpenShift etc.

Cloud Platforms such as Azure and AWS (SaaS/PaaS/IaaS Infra exposure)

Databases such as MSSQL, MYSQL, Oracle, SAP, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc

• Prior experience in Customer facing role to demonstrate, delivering a pilot / POC, Technical Demos of cybersecurity solutions with strong interpersonal skills. [For AMER COE hires: Prior experience with US based Customers is preferred & flexibility to work in permanent night shifts].
• Excellent communication skills (English) both written and verbal. Proficient in building & articulating PowerPoint presentations.

Good to have:

o Proficiency in on-boarding CRM apps like Salesforce, D365 etc.

o Relevant Industry certification(s) in cloud (AWS, Azure etc) & AI.
