Job summary

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd in Chennai seeks an experienced Vehicle Body System Lead to guide the design of structural components for automotive programs. The role involves leading the team to develop 2D concept sections, 3D part models and 3D assemblies while aligning with engineering targets.

You will collaborate with senior engineers and project managers to meet technical targets, schedules and budgets, provide CAE inputs, and ensure materials, manufacturing processes and primary structures meet

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level in a mechanical or aeronautical discipline.
• 10 years automotive experience.
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes associated with aluminium including heat treatments, coatings, assembly and process tolerances.
• Ability to select materials and processes appropriate to engineering requirements such as strength, durability, cost and manufacturing constraints.
• Experience in the design and engineering of automotive primary structures utilising extrusions, sheet and cast/forged materials.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Vehicle Body System team to prepare 2D concept sections, 3D part models and 3D assembly models.
