Job summary

ReNew in India seeks a Senior Engineer - Blade Expert (Wind) to lead blade corrective actions, preventive maintenance planning and on-site support across wind farms in Gujarat. You will coordinate with teams to ensure safety, quality and timely execution of repairs and retrofits.

The role requires 4–8 years of mechanical engineering experience with blades and wind projects, and a strong focus on reliability, documentation, and site supervision.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Blade corrective planning and execution for asset reliability.

Job Description

Position: Senior Engineer - Blade Expert (Wind)
Education: B.E/B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Experience: 4 to 8 Years
Location: Bhuvad, Gujarat

Key Deliverables

• Blade Large Correctives planning and execution, coordinate for critical issues related to Asset reliability
• Technical support for major breakdowns due to blade & corrective / preventive measures to the sites implementation & promoting innovative ideas for quality improvement across organization
• To systemize the Preventive Maint. & retrofitting operations
• Schedule & Provide onsite support on the evaluation of blade damages and repair methods
• Ensure adherence to ReNew’s standards of safety and quality work practices
• Schedule, authenticate and execute the Prev. Maint plan with field
• Ensure all the Design Changes/Retrofits are executed at all operational sites timely
• To perform adequacy, check on resources like tools & tackles, maintenance & safety equipment etc. before scheduling PM, repairs or retrofitting operations and determine proactive measures for availability of the same
• Validate & periodically upgrade BOM for PM, standard & specialized tools, Jigs & Fixtures, maintenance & safety equipment
• Calibration control physically as well as in SAP
• Evaluation of defect reports, failure analysis data concerning blade componentry, draw conclusions, stimulate design / engineering upgradation & follow-up for desired change
• Monitor usage of SAP at sites for timely processing of PM & retrofitting orders, materials issues
• Communication within internal stakeholders on the damage during construction/transportation
• To develop a ready reckoner on problems & solutions thereof
• Travel to different wind farms for blade repair supervision, troubleshooting, and administrative support
• Support operations with tooling, up tower repair, maintenance, and inspection by external TP vendor if required
