Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Clinical Embryology, Reproductive Biology, Biotechnology, or related life science.
• Hands-on proficiency in oocyte handling, fertilization, culture, grading, cryopreservation and thawing.
• Strong understanding of ART protocols and evidence-based practices.
• Excellent documentation, data management, and regulatory compliance.
• Effective communication with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience mentoring junior embryology staff and contributing to training.
• Several years of hands-on embryology experience.

Responsibilities

Role Description

The Senior Embryologist will play a key role in the daily operations of the IVF laboratory, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and patient care. This full-time, on‑site role is based at the Oasis Fertility center in Kakinada. Responsibilities include performing gamete handling, oocyte retrieval support, insemination, embryo culture, grading, and selection, as well as embryo transfer preparation and cryopreservation of gametes and embryos. The role involves strict adherence to laboratory protocols, documentation, quality control, and regulatory guidelines, while maintaining aseptic techniques and optimal lab conditions. The Senior Embryologist will collaborate closely with clinicians, nurses, and counselors, participate in case discussions, contribute to treatment planning, and support patient counseling on embryology‑related aspects. Additional responsibilities include mentoring junior embryology staff, assisting with training, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and clinical research activities where relevant.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in core embryology procedures, including oocyte handling, fertilization techniques, embryo culture, embryo grading, cryopreservation, and thawing.
• Proficiency in IVF laboratory operations, including aseptic techniques, equipment handling, lab maintenance, and adherence to quality control and safety standards.
• Solid understanding of reproductive biology, ART protocols, and andrology procedures, with the ability to apply evidence‑based practices in clinical settings.
• Excellent documentation, data management, and attention to detail to ensure accurate recording of laboratory activities and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams and provide clear, empathetic information to patients and families.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide junior staff, support training programs, and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Master’s degree or equivalent in Clinical Embryology, Reproductive Biology, Biotechnology, or a related life science discipline; relevant certifications in embryology or ART are an advantage.
