Job summary

Luma Fertility is seeking a skilled Embryologist to join our expanding IVF lab. You will perform ICSI, handle oocyte retrieval samples, and drive embryo culture, grading, and cryopreservation with meticulous documentation and strict QA adherence.

The role involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary fertility team to ensure smooth patient cycles, audits, and SOP development in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of active hands-on IVF laboratory experience.
• Strong ICSI experience is mandatory.
• Experience across embryo culture, grading and cryopreservation.
• MSc in Clinical Embryology / Reproductive Biology / relevant life sciences or equivalent qualification.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a highly controlled clinical environment.
• Good documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary fertility team.

Responsibilities

• Perform ICSI with strong technical proficiency.
• Handle oocyte retrieval samples, denudation, fertilisation checks and embryo culture.
• Perform embryo assessment and grading as per laboratory protocols.
• Assist with embryo vitrification, warming and cryopreservation.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation.
• Follow strict laboratory quality control, hygiene and safety protocols.
• Ensure proper handling, identification and traceability of gametes and embryos.
• Support day-to-day functioning and maintenance of the embryology laboratory.
• Work closely with the Chief Embryologist and clinical team to ensure smooth patient cycles.
• Participate in audits, quality improvement initiatives and SOP development.
