Job summary

Seema Hospital Pvt. Ltd. seeks a Sr. Embryologist to lead the IVF laboratory, oversee all embryology procedures and ensure strict adherence to SOPs and NABH standards.

The candidate will manage lab operations, equipment, QA, and data recording, while training staff and maintaining high success rates in IVF/ICSI procedures within our Azamgarh facility.

Qualifications

• MSc with 5+ yrs experience in Biotechnology/Microbiology or MSc in Clinical Embryology with 6+ yrs experience.
• Experience in clinical embryology labs and handling IVF/ICSI procedures.
• Familiarity with NABH standards, QA and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Embryology SOP and protocols as defined by the company.
• Manage the IVF Lab, all assets in the lab and andrology function
• Daily supervision of all check points, i.e., sterility, cylinder level, temperature, etc
• Lab & Inventory management (TQM)
• Patient data recording & research
• Semen sample preparation
• Proficiently carry out Embryology procedures including embryo culture, ICSI, vitrification
• Train and administratively manage the Lab technicians at the center
• Ensure ethical practice per ICMR and government guidelines
• Drive high success rates as per defined protocols
• Diagnostic Semen Analysis & Semen Preparation for Treatment
• Oocyte Retrieval & Denudation
• Insemination including ICSI/IVF
• Fertilization Check
• Cryopreservation Gamete/Embryo
• Culture dish preparation
• QA participation and equipment maintenance
• Oversee procurement of lab products & services
• Meet lab KPIs and SOPs
• Assist in lab decision implementation

Role & Responsibilities

• 1Participate in internal & external QA, & achieve a satisfactory level of performance
• Assist in the implementation of decisions concerning embryology department

Customer

• Maintain purchase orders for all laboratory processes and monitor inventory for same and coordinate same with purchase department.
• Exercises autonomous professional responsibility for assessment of and provision for the counselling needs of patients.
• Maintaining highly complex, sensitive information, taking into account confidentiality whilst maintaining patient safety.

• Promotes and maintains good working relationships within the team and other unit
• Sharing information, knowledge and learning from demonstrated expertise

Work Experience

• Having 8-10 years of experience in Clinical Embryology
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, ability to listen to various opinions and propose constructive solutions
• Familiarity with laboratory quality control, inspection and troubleshooting procedures.
• Excellent knowledge transfer and management skills
