Job summary

Worley is hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer to work with our projects for clients in the oil, gas, petrochemical and new energy sectors. You will lead design and engineering activities, ensuring system performance, safety, and quality across the project lifecycle.

You will mentor junior engineers, prepare technical documents, and participate in reviews ensuring adherence to international standards and best practices.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in electrical engineering forOil & Gas, petrochemical, chemical and new energy projects.
• Experience in SLDs, GA/layouts, cable routing, vendor evaluations and engineering docs.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on analytical evaluations to assess system performance, diagnose technical issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, NEC, and NEMA standards, embedding safety, reliability, and cybersecurity.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on standardization, digitization, engineering quality, lessons learned, and operational excellence.
• Provide clear communication and leadership in technical reviews, project meetings, stakeholder interactions, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical knowledge sharing.

The Role

As a Senior Electrical Engineer with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.

• Perform hands-on analytical evaluations to assess system performance, diagnose technical issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with international standards such as IEC, IEEE, NEC, and NEMA, embedding safety, reliability, and cybersecurity.

About You

To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:

• The Senior Electrical Engineer will be having 12-18 years of experience in design & engineering of Oil & Gas, petrochemical, chemical and new energy projects.
• Deep expertise in electrical engineering, including HV/LV system design, equipment sizing, protection & control philosophies, grounding/earthing, lightning protection, load flow, short-circuit, and arc-flash studies.
• Experience developing technical specifications, single-line diagrams (SLDs), GA/layouts, cable routing plans, vendor evaluations, and engineering documents for PDCs, switchgears, transformers, MCCs, UPS, drives, and related systems.
