Job summary

Worley is seeking an Electrical Engineer Level II to join our team in India. You will perform electrical system design for assigned projects, interfacing with clients and vendors to deliver reliable power solutions for oil, gas, refining & petrochemical assets.

Ideal candidates hold a BE/BTech in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of design experience, familiarity with IS/IEC/BS/OISD/IE Rules, and ETAP software proficiency. refinery/power project background is preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical engineering (B.E. or B.Tech) required.
• 8+ years of design experience in Oil & Gas, refinery and petrochemicals.
• Familiarity with IS, IEC, BS, OISD and IE Rules.
• Experience using ETAP software in project tasks.

Responsibilities

• Electrical system design for the assigned project, interfacing with client and vendors.
• Prepare load lists, equipment lists, and electrical design calculations.
• Develop power distribution concepts, SLDs, schematics and cable schedules.
• Prepare design basis, data sheets, and material requisitions.
• Review vendor data and support drafting with drawings quality.
• Maintain design files and ensure adherence to schedule and budget.

The Role

As an Electrical Engineer Level II with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.

Primary Objective

Electrical system design for the assigned project interacting with other disciplines, client and vendors as required.

Specific Accountabilities

• Monitor own progress and ensure it comes within project schedule.
• Conduct site visit and data gathering.
• Preparation of load list and equipment list.
• Preparation of calculations for electrical systems such as voltage drop, equipment sizing, lighting, earthing and cable sizing etc.
• Preparation power system study reports and relay coordination using ETAP software.
• Preparation of electrical power distribution concepts, SLD, schematic diagrams etc.
• Preparation of cable schedules and interconnection schedules.
• Preparation design basis.
• Preparation of specifications and data sheets.
• Preparation of material requisition (Requisition For Quotation).

Additional Responsibilities

• Preparation of technical bid evaluation reports.
• Review equipment vendor data.
• Give input to Drafting personnel for preparation of drawings.
• Checking of drawings including interface with related drawings of own discipline and other discipline.
• Maintenance of design file and relevant data etc.
• Assistance to Lead Engineer.
• Adherence to the committed schedule.
• Control of electrical design budget and schedule.
• Technical supervision of electrical designers and draftsmen.
• Preparation of manhour estimates to perform project tasks based on tender scope documents and scope change.
• Adherence to Quality Assurance system, applicable procedures, Design basis, Applicable design guides / Standards / Specifications as applicable.
• Responsible for personal safety safe working practices for the CSG, etc. Understand and follow OH&S procedures.

About You

To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:

• Degree in Electrical engineering (B.E. or B. Tech).
• 8 years + plus design experience Oil and Gas, Refinery and petro chemicals etc.
• Familiarity with national and international standards such as IS, IEC, BS, OISD, IE Rules.
• Experience in use of electrical system software such as ETAP.
• Preference will be given to candidates with extensive work experience within the Refinery and power projects.
