Job summary

Virtusa is seeking a senior Workday HCM lead in Hyderabad to drive HR technology implementations and transformations. You will design and deliver Workday HCM projects, lead a skilled team, and partner with HR, Payroll, and IT to translate business needs into scalable solutions.

The role emphasizes presales involvement, solution architecture, and governance across deployments, with a focus on building reusable assets and accelerating delivery while mentoring consultants and aligning with client

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing and delivering Workday HCM implementations.
• Strong presales skills including RFP responses and solution workshops.
• Expert in Workday configuration: BPF, security, reporting, tenant management.
• Proven ability to mentor consultants and lead teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead the Workday HCM CoE with defined offerings and delivery frameworks.
• Scale the Workday practice through capability development and mentoring.
• Collaborate with HR, Payroll, and IT to understand business requirements.
• Support proposals and solution discussions for Workday HCM opportunities.
• Develop reusable templates and accelerators to improve delivery efficiency.
• Provide governance and quality assurance across Workday implementations.
• Identify automation opportunities and drive innovation within the Workday ecosystem.
• Collaborate with sales and leadership to expand Workday services.

Skills And Experience

• 12–15 years of experience in HR technology implementations, with 7+ years focused on Workday HCM.
• Expertise in and related modules Recruiting, Talent & Performance, Compensation, Absence, Time Tracking; specialization in Talent and performance management
• Proven experience designing and delivering Workday HCM implementations and transformations
• Deep expertise in presales activities including RFP responses, solution architecture, effort estimation and client solution workshops
• Knowledge with Workday configuration, including Business Process Framework, security model, reporting, dashboards, and tenant management.
• Strong knowledge of Workday integrations including EIB, Core Connectors, Workday Studio, Web Services APIs.
• Experience with Workday Extend and advanced reporting/analytics is preferred.
• Proven track record of creating reusable assets, templates, and frameworks to expedite Workday implementation and ongoing support.
• Strong leadership skills with experience in mentoring consultants, architects & integration specialists.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to present technical and functional solutions clearly.

Responsibilities

• Provide delivery governance and quality assurance across implementations, ensuring adherence to Workday best practices.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying automation opportunities, delivery optimizations, and innovation within the Workday ecosystem.
• Collaborate with sales, alliances, and leadership teams to expand Workday services and grow the overall HR technology
