Job summary

Sidhakala Group is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to lead sheet metal die design and related tooling development from Bhosari-Pune. The role requires deep expertise in press parts, CAD/CAE tools, and a track record of delivering on-time designs with quality.

The candidate should have 7+ years in design engineering for sheet metal parts, strong communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure within a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience as a Design Engineer in sheet metal press part manufacturing or similar.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience with AutoCAD, CATIA and Cimatron; hands-on sheet metal blank development.

Responsibilities

• Design sheet metal dies (press tools) for new product development and welding fixtures.
• Create concept designs, layouts, alternate designs and design calculations.
• Create 3D models, 2D drawings and 3D annotations.
• Monitor team designs, prepare BOM and submit to Tool Room for manufacturing.
• Prepare technical presentations and document best practices and procedures.
• Tool trials, sample preparation, and countermeasure/action plans for process capability.
• Adhere to quality parameters and processes per organization and customer.
• Apply GD&T to parts and assembly drawings.
• DFMEA (Customer Part Model and 2D).
• Knowledge of tool manufacturing processes in Tool Room.

Sidhakala Group of Industries founded in 1997 is a press components, press toolings and welded assemblies manufacturing company. It comprises of two main units: Sidhakala Engineers (Bhosari plant); Sidhakala Industries (Chakan plant).

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• Diploma/Bachelor degree (Mechanical Engineering)
• Over 7+ years of experience as a Design Engineer in Sheet Metal Press Part manufacturing company or a similar role.
• Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook)
• Experience with Design Software (AutoCad, Catia, Cimatron ). Hands on experience of Sheet Metal Blank development.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to work independently, carry out duties in assigned time, effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service

Key Responsibilities:

• Design of sheet metal Dies (press tools) for New Product development, Welding fixtures, relation gauges.
• Ability to generate Tool design standardization
• Create concept design/Layout/ alternate design/ design calculations.
• Create 3D model, generate 2D drawings & 3D annotations.
• Monitor all designs prepared by your team, create BOM & submit to Tool Room for manufacturing.
• Prepare technical presentation; document the best practices & procedures.
