Job summary

Stryker is seeking a mechanical design CAD engineer to prepare detailed drawings and schematics using CreoParametric in Gurugram. You will generate ISO/ASME-compliant drawings for parts and assemblies and work with engineers to resolve design discrepancies.

The role requires 5–7 years of CAD experience, strong knowledge of GD&T, and familiarity with Windchill/Teamcenter. On-site position with opportunities for process improvement and mentoring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in mechanical engineering or equivalent; 3+ years of experience in mechanical design and CAD modeling.
• Experience- 5 to 7 years and solid understanding of engineering drawing standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains detailed CAD drawings, schematics, or specifications using Creo.
• Creates and controls 2D and 3D parts and assemblies from sketches and instructions.
• Generates manufacturing, assembly, and installation drawings per ASME Y14.5 / ISO standards.
• Collaborates with engineers/designers to resolve design discrepancies.
• Develops and maintains drafting standards; transfers drawings between systems as needed.
• Provides CAD training and executes routing design projects including stack‑up analysis.

Job description

What you will do-

• Prepares andmaintainsdetailed design drawings, schematics or specifications using computer-aided design (CAD) software (preferably Creo).
• Creates,modifiesand controls detailed two- and three-dimensional parts and assembly drawings from engineers' sketches,plansand written and verbal instructions.
• Generate manufacturing, assembly, and installation drawings in accordance with ASME Y14.5 / ISO standards.
• Works closely with design originators (e.g., engineers, designers) to resolve design details or discrepancies.
• Develops andmaintainsdrafting standards and procedures; Transfer and translate drawings from one computer system to another as needed.
• Will provide CAD training to others and execute routing design projects,to includestack up analysis, part design, and related tasks.
• Apply GD&T, dimensional tolerances, and fit requirements Prepare engineering change notices (ECN/ECO) and revision updates
• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, specifications, BOMs, and design records and ensure compliance with company standards and customer specifications.
• Support prototype development and design validation; cost reduction, value engineering, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Strong understanding of engineering drawing standards and mechanical design principles.
• Experience designing both plastic and metal components and proficient in CAD tools : Creo Parametric

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PLM/PDM systems such as Windchill and Teamcenter.
• Knowledge of product lifecycle management and configuration control.
• Exposure to consumer electronics, medical devices, industrial equipment, automotive, or aerospace products.
