Job summary

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Modeler with 6+ years of expertise in data modelling, data warehousing, and modern cloud data platforms. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Snowflake and dbt, along with a proven track record of designing and implementing scalable data pipelines based on Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers). The candidate will be responsible for creating robust data models, partnering with data engineering teams, and working directly with clients to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions. A solid understanding of how Snowflake integrates with downstream BI and analytics platform is required.

Preferred Skills And Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Data Modelling, Data Warehousing, and Data Architecture.
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake.
• Hands-on experience with dbt for data transformation and modelling.
• Proven experience in building and supporting end-to-end data pipelines.
• Strong understanding and implementation experience of Medallion Architecture.
• Expertise in dimensional data modeling techniques including:
• Star Schema
• Snowflake Schema
• Data Vault (preferred)
• Advanced SQL development and performance tuning skills.
• Experience with ETL/ELT and modern cloud data platforms.
• Strong knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks.
• Good understanding of BI and analytics data consumption patterns, including designing Snowflake data models that support reporting, self-service analytics, semantic layers, and integration with downstream BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar platforms.
• Ability to collaborate with BI and Analytics teams to ensure optimized data structures, performance, and usability for reporting and dashboarding requirements.

Client Engagement

• Proven experience working directly with clients and business stakeholders.
• Strong requirement gathering, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Ability to lead discussions, workshops, and design sessions with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience translating business requirements into scalable data solutions.

Good to Have

• Experience with Informatica Cloud (IICS) and/or Informatica PowerCenter.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Familiarity with orchestration tools such as Airflow, Azure Data Factory, or similar.
• Exposure to data lakehouse architectures and modern analytics platforms.
• Data Modeller/Snowflake and/or dbt certifications.
