Job summary

SharePoint Company in India is seeking an experienced Data Modeller to design conceptual, logical and physical data models for enterprise applications, enabling scalable analytics and BI.

You will work with Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), data warehousing concepts, and BI tools like Power BI/Tableau, translating business requirements into robust data structures and supporting ETL/ELT and data governance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of overall experience with 3+ years in Data Modelling.
• Proficient in ER Modelling, RDBMS and SQL.
• Hands-on with Dimensional Modelling, Star/Snowflake schemas, Data Vault.
• Experience with modelling tools: SqlDBM, Erwin, ER/Studio or PowerDesigner.
• Knowledge of Medallion Architecture and data warehouse concepts.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and Snowflake/Redshift/MongoDB.
• Familiarity with ETL/ELT, metadata management and data governance.
• Experience designing models for BI tools like Power BI, Tableau or ThoughtSpot.
• Bonus: Graph/Document Modelling and NoSQL familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
• Develop ER diagrams, data dictionaries and database schemas.
• Translate business requirements into scalable data models.
• Design Star Schema, Snowflake Schema and Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold).
• Support ETL/ELT processes and cloud migration initiatives.
• Optimize database performance through indexing, partitioning, and normalization.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, BI and business teams.
• Ensure adherence to data governance, metadata management and modelling standards.
