Job summary

An experienced Data Modeller is sought to design conceptual, logical, and physical data models for enterprise applications, with emphasis on data warehousing, cloud platforms, and scalable analytics.

You will implement Star Schema, Snowflake Schema and Data Vault, support ETL/ELT and cloud migration, optimize performance, and collaborate with Data Engineering, BI, and business teams while upholding governance and metadata standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years overall experience with 3+ years in Data Modelling.
• Strong knowledge of ER Modelling, RDBMS, SQL, and database design.
• Experience with dimensional modelling, star/snowflake schemas, and data vault.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
• Develop ER diagrams, data dictionaries, and database schemas.
• Translate business requirements into scalable data models.
• Design Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, and Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold).
• Support ETL/ELT processes and cloud migration initiatives.
• Optimize database performance through indexing, partitioning, and normalization.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, BI, and business teams.

We are looking for an experienced Data Modeller with strong expertise in designing conceptual, logical, and physical data models for enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should have experience in cloud data platforms, data warehousing, dimensional modelling, and modern data architecture to support scalable analytics and business intelligence solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
• Develop ER diagrams, data dictionaries, and database schemas.
• Translate business requirements into scalable data models.
• Design Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, and Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold).
• Support ETL/ELT processes and cloud migration initiatives.
• Optimize database performance through indexing, partitioning, and normalization.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, BI, and business teams.
• Ensure adherence to data governance, metadata management, and modelling standards.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of overall experience with 3+ years in Data Modelling.
• Strong knowledge of ER Modelling, RDBMS, SQL, and database design.
• Hands-on experience with Dimensional Modelling, Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, and Data Vault.
• Experience with data modelling tools such as SqlDBM, Erwin, ER/Studio, or PowerDesigner.
• Good understanding of Medallion Architecture and data warehouse concepts.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP and databases such as Snowflake, Redshift, or MongoDB.
• Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes, metadata management, and data governance.
• Experience designing models for BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, or ThoughtSpot.
• Knowledge of Graph Modelling, Document Modelling, and NoSQL databases is an added advantage.
