Job summary

Bristlecone in Bengaluru is looking for an experienced SAP ABAP professional to develop, enhance, maintain, and support ABAP programs and RICEF objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows) in ECC/S/4HANA environments.

The role requires strong hands-on ABAP, proficiency with ALV, BAPI, RFC, IDoc, and debugging, plus excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills to collaborate with SAP Functional Consultants and ensure reliable production

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in SAP ABAP.
• Good knowledge of Core ABAP and Object-Oriented ABAP.
• Experience with Reports and ALV, RICEF, BAdIs/Enhancements, User Exits/Customer Exits, BAPI, RFC, IDoc, Function Modules, Debugging, and Performance Tuning.
• Experience working on SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, maintain, and support SAP ABAP programs.
• Work on RICEF objects – Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows.
• Develop reports using ALV and Object-Oriented ABAP.
• Work on BAdIs, User Exits, Customer Exits, and Enhancement Framework.
• Develop and support integrations using BAPI, RFC, IDoc, and Function Modules.
• Perform ABAP debugging and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Perform performance tuning and optimize ABAP programs.
• Work closely with SAP Functional Consultants to understand requirements and provide technical solutions.
• Perform unit testing, defect fixing, deployment, and production support.
• Prepare technical specifications and maintain technical documentation.
• Participate in code reviews and follow SAP development standards.
